There goes my hope that they went renegade and all the various crusades return to terra and they number in the hundred thousand range.

Merging into the main Space Marine codex may well prove good news for Black Templars, if true, as that one codex is always updated with each edition and is taken care of and nurtured.

So Black Templar owners would never be short of attention and a viable updated force to use. I suspect the others, BA, SW etc are going to be in the wilderness for a while now that they've been updated.

It will also benefit all the other army owners as removing a codex from the list will enable the rest to move along the turntable that much faster.

All this dependent on them doing so and not just wedging in yet another marine codex this year whilst Eldar, SOB, Orks etc shuffle and shiver in the queue for attention.

As a Templar player, I'm okay with this as long as the rules for them aren't homogenized in to crap. I'd like for the crusade feel to still remain.

I can find the page just fine and they have been under the SM section for as long as I can remember.

If they were rolled back into C:SM, then it would be up to the players to not botch the fluffiness of their army. BT with a librarian would be in the same boat as 6-dread White Scars lists.

Current Armies
3000 pts
2500pts (The Shining Helms)
XXXX pts (Restart in progress)
500pts

That would be even more unfluffy than a 6 dread white scars list, heck, there's even the vow Abhor the Witch. And there are rules for not allying with anyone who have psykers in their army, apart from Grey Knights.

As long as we still have plastic bits, specific units and some modifications for the army lists, I would be ok with BT being included in SM codex.

Anyway, in the Spanish version of GW's website they are still available as usual.

The BT products have been gone indeed for a short time (even with the tag intact), but now they are back online. No harm done. Move along

Then they are being folded, if that's any indication.

I think, if it's done with respect to their differences to the codex astartes, this is nothing but good news for the Templars, to come in from the cold.

I hope they get consumed by the SM dex we need less books not more and the fact is they are not that interesting in the first place.

Probably there was unprecedented demand for Black Templar miniatures, causing a temporary shortage of stockage?

Mr Vetock, give back my Multi-tracker!
