Your conversions are great, and really characterful, as has been said. I also think the palette you chose is really nice, Im a sucker for a good red paired with lots of dirty metallics.
On the sandbags for the mortar team, I think why people are saying they look off is it's just too much dirty white throwing off your color flow. Maybe a shade of brown instead, with the same wash, would tie together a bit more harmoniously?

The problem with the sandbags is only one of scale. They look like 50# bags of dog food. IRL a sandbag that size would weigh on the order of 200# and couldn't be filled simply because the fabric would tear from the weight. Make them from GS or miliput and about half that size and they'll look just fine.
Yeah, I'm not going to use the sandbags again. I am not very skilled with GS or miliput yet, so that will take some time. I'm trying to see if I can make my HW teams on trench style bases, without them being too tall. That's in the works. I've been messing around with the Tamiya brick walls as well. They worked well with the Cadian teams that I was making before. When I get everything set up I'll put pictures of the lascannon team that I finished the other day.

Its been a while, I was in Vienna over the summer studying German. Since Apoc came out I had to freshen up my Baneblade so here are some shots of it. I need to get some sort of set up to take better pictures, so sorry for the quality.
Also here is a picture of my Executioner, I swear, whenever I play they are deepstriking terminator magnets. I've had multiple opponents drop a squad of termies right next to my executioner/s.

A Heretic may see the truth and seek redemption. He may be forgiven his past and will be absolved in death. A Traitor can never be forgiven. A Traitor will never find peace in this world or the next. There is nothing as wretched or as hated in all the world as a Traitor. - Cardinal Khrysdam, Instructum Absolutio
Here are my Bane Wolf/Devil Dog/Hellhound, second Leman Russ Executioner, and the first of my standard renegades. The guardsman is the template for my rank and file guardsmen, their right shoulderpad will be which Platoon/Squad they belong to. I am kind of basing them off the Thorakitai that the Iron Warriors used before the Horus Heresy, because my Iron Warriors are a bit more pure than most others.

I love the work you've done!
Ok, a question for you. The brush cleaner/conditioner in the photo could you give me the name of it please, I ran out a number of years ago and it was so old I assumed it wasn't produced anymore so I never bothered to remember the name. I see I was wrong.
Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of the women.
Brilliant conversions all around. I love each and every one of them, they are all so flavorful (especially that guy with all the grenades). I can just imagine Gaunt and his Ghosts fighting them on some war torn planet.

Thanks guys, I love the bitz companies that make all of this stuff. The Chapterhouse wheeled APC conversion took some time to use with the Hellhound chassis, but I think it turned out okay. Next time I magnetize the barrel I will use a nail in one end an a magnet in the other instead of two magnets, the bond isn't as strong with the smaller magnets in my experience.
Kelly502 if you're in the US I'm pretty sure Hobby Lobby sells it. I usually try to stay away from there, here in Austin all of the art stores sell it. I couldn't paint without it, and I learned the hard way to stay away from hot water and the brush cleaner I've got an infantry platoon I'm working on, three Chimeras that are almost done, another Medusa almost done, two Vendettas (one with the camo done and the other needs chaos bits) and some heavy weapons teams in the works. I'm also working on my Iron Warriors alongside of this project. Almost all of the vehicles I have stripped because they were loyalist units when I was first learning how to paint, so some aren't put together as well and you can see where I had a hard time removing the paint before.
Here are two Vanquishers and one of my Medusas. The Maxmini conversion was so easy, and I love working with their models.

Been a while since I posted. Busy with school, but I've been working on my renegades, here are two members of a lascannon team arguing over who is supposed to be on the gun.

Thanks! I was busy taking some pictures of the newly finished troops. I have a lot more I'm working on. 2 Vendettas, a 3rd Executioner, 4 Chimeras, the 2nd squad of 1st platoon is almost finished, a bunch of grenade launchers, flamers and other special weapons, A squad of Melta/Shotgun Vets with all Victoria Miniatures bits. Thanks for the compliments and suggestions!
Company Commander, Colonel, and sometimes counts as Creed
Lieutenant Horatio, my Officer of the Fleet
Captain Briggs, my Master of Ordnance
Colonel Ironsides (Counts as Straken)
A sniper from my company command squad
Veteran sniper
1st Platoon Command Squad, the Melta is the only finished special weapon for my PCS, there will be a lot more choices and they will most likely have a heavy weapon attached to them.

Yeah, I apologize for the delay in updates. I hope to keep this up to date now. Here is a huge accomplishment for me, this guy has been sitting on my WIP shelf for over a year just mocking me. Every time I tried to paint him (and his cohorts in the renegade militia squad) he would end up on the shelf staring at me with those hollow traitor eyes of his. But here he is, finished. Not sure if he's going to be a part of the CCS or a PCS.
