Rems I did a headcount and that list 4 replies up right there clocks in at 1k.
Totally agreed, the weakness with the list I have there is DS that gets to my FWs or if the map is lacking in sufficient cover to keep them safe. Honestly at 10k my list is risky on that side but stands a semi-decent chance at tabling an opposing list with light troops and a mech focus.

My standard all comers list at 1000 points has 3 griffons, 2 leman russes and 2 chimeras in it. I can't see how your army would be able to deal with that.
The griffons would be hidden away and able to seriously damage those squishy firewarriors, especially if they're clumped up to gain the benefit of the Ethereal's bubble.
After taking out your lone hammerhead (which would be quite easy given its the only vehicle in the list and i have multiple at weapons) i'd just sit there outside your range (not that it would matter, being unable to penetrate my armour) and shoot you. I'd then move up and flamer you to death.
Here's my list:

I honestly don't see how you can handle vehicles or armies that outrange you.
You only have one troop choice though so your army is illegal. An infantry platoon = one troop choice. You can have a Platoon Command Squad, 5 Infantry Squads, 5 Heavy Weapons Squads, 2 Special Weapons Squads and 1 Conscript Squad but is still only one troop choice.
For an extra 20 points you can use one of those Infantry Squads as a Veteran Squad and you're legal. Or get another flamer platoon squad, an extra infantry squad so you have two infantry platoons, but you'll have to take the points from elsewhere.
Unless I am missing something and you are playing some special rule which only requires one troops.

Ouch! The worst I could do would be to strip your troops and lord... Can't see much happening against the helldrakes unless I get a nice behind on em. Might be able to get the preds with pathies, though.

I like the massed firepower that the list brings, if it's just a bit narrow-minded. You said it does great against your local meta, so you've done something right, heh.
Although to counter it, I'd be with everyone else, tanks would eat you. IG mechanized lists would table you with little to no effort, given the amount of pie plates they'd be throwing at you.
Like I said, cool list though. Seems goofy at first but when i look it over it definitely piques my interest.

Another player is working on competitively bringing 120 sniper kroot (and 1 hound each) to every game. The idea of the list scares me, especially with a couple markersuit commanders and pathfinders. 120 BS5 ignores cover snipers :s

Sniper drones are now BS 5 with the drone controller and can have up to 6 drones and 3 drone controllers. Also they are 48" rapid fire sniper, pulse. So they can get the extra shot from the ethereal on rapid fire as well as the 6 inch increase from the pulse accelerator drone.

You wouldn't get in range/ LoS would be be blocked by preds and it's not easy to hide 11 guys.

You're list is illegal. You only have 1 troops choice, unless there is something there and I am missing it.
But yeah, any sort of heavy armor list will win against you. Relying on Pathfinders with EMP as your only AT is a bit silly, seeing as any armor list will either be so saturated with it that you won't be able to kill them all in time (at least IG armor lists) or they will be dead incredibly fast (you have those and a HH for AT, you can bet what is dying first.). The rest of your army is entirely T3 4+ which doesn't take a whole lot to kill especially when they can't hurt the other target. You might be able to take objectives and hope to survive long enough but you can't kill that much armor. Ya just can't.

Swap one squad of FW's for a trio of Piranhas w/ Fusion Blasters, and one squad for a full Sniper Drone Team. You may need to drop a few FW's from other squads, I don't know how tight you are on points.
3 piranhas w/Fusion run at 150pts. They can drop off a squad of 6 gun drones on the first turn, so you're only 'losing' 6 firewarriors. The drones can then act as a squad of 6 JSJ TL pulse shots which don't give up a killpoint and you can use to give cover to your real Firewarriors. The piranhas then give you the speed and meltas to deal with back-field artillery.
9 Sniper Drones w/3 Markers runs 174 points. They are amazingly good at anti-infantry, anti-MC, and can even get glances against AV12. With 48" range (and 3 shots within 24") they also help out your range problem, and you get 3 BS5 markerlights to boot.
Lets say this takes you to:
2 Ethereals
40 Firewarriors
9 Sniper Drones + 3 Markers
6 Pathfinders
3 Piranhas (+ fusion blasters) + (6 Gun Drones)
1 Hammerhead
You 'lose' 17 'firewarrors' w/ Pulse rifles, but you gain a lot more and your army is more versatile and has a chance to deal with artillery, AV12+ and MC's which are your hard counters.
72 Firewarriors sound cool, but they really don't do anything that 48 firewarriors can't. The volume of fire you get with these guys is stupidly ridiculous: with only 20 Firewarriors and 9 sniper drones I wiped out 2 full squads of grey knight terminators in a single round of shooting in my last game; you're unlikely to get much more than that to shoot at in a single turn at 1000pts, so you really don't need twice the volume.
