I know it's a lot of work Asmodai, but I've seen it done once or twice before without looking horrible. I do agree with you that most of the time it looks awful, but I think that flight sticks look worse. (As a side note, those armorcast explosion effects look terrible.) I know it takes a WHOLE LOT of work to get a good hovering model that doesn't look like butt, but take a look at those floor tiles again. Clearly, the OP has both the skill and the patience to pull off such an effect.

From whom much is given, much is expected, and all that. Or, with great power comes great responsibility, depending on your frame of reference.

Those figures are very ancient, painted years ago . Plus, I wanted to let the bases show more, and that would not have worked with sculpting smoke and such... thus covering all my designs!!

If I was doing them again today, I might fool around with some smoke coming out of the exhausts, etc.

However, with Raging Heroes coming out with a version of Seraphim, I think that issue will be solved :-)

It is somewhat of a secret, and probably depends on how the first KS plays out.

That's why it was such an incredible stroke of good fortune that I chose the Sisters/IG combo for my next army! I have only seen a few tiny peeks, but those will be quite spectacular...

Hey folks! Sorry I have not switched my Celtic Mythology images to this machine so that I can post them here. I promise to do that today or tomorrow

Anyway, I did run across this, which was a very early sketch of the Saint Morrighan character in the pre-industrial form. It was eerily similar to a sketch of a SOB from Raging Heroes (minus the armor, of course!

Also, an image they posted of a potential Seraphim:
