I made greenstuff hats for all my Orks.
They look really cute, and when I remove casualties I allways try to avoid the best looking hat.

The fluff is something like the big Warboss Jean Pierre the fashion Ork captured the big Imperial Hat factory that suplies the empier with hats.
And now he uses their own hats against them, Muahahahaaa!

I can live on this earth, knowing someone made orks with hats, without seeing this. PLEASE POST PICTURES. And pm if you do.

I name my Ork HQ's, mainly a bunch of Warboss's and Big Meks. And I do name the occasional Nob & Mek, such as Mek Donglerot

I'm not going to create a new character each time one dies, but I have written off one. He was my first Warboss and I never won a game when he was in the army. So I made up my mind it would be the last chance, and sure enough I lost, totally on bad dice rolls as always happened when I used him. I offered up the model to my opponent as a reward and my Warboss was dead.

Apologies for talking positively about games I enjoy.

My SoB army is (or was, I actually left them in Germany when I emigrated, aside from a token one to decorate my desk with) small enough to give each of them a name.

There even was a time when I was crazy enough to record how often they died or what they killed, and swapping names around to "promote" or "demote" them. Permadeaths were only issued for heroic deaths against crazy odds, though, turning the martyr into a legend, and over time providing me with background for the banners and relics my Sisters carried into battle.
Also, I never fielded Repentia, but I did keep a list of Sisters who "failed their God-Emperor", just in case I'd ever get a squad...

Oh, and squads are named by their leader, e.g. "Squad Alexa" or "Squad Joseline", a system that is (iirc) identical to the Astartes one, and which has been used in GW material to refer to Sororitas units as well. For the names themselves, I tend to look at French, Spanish and/or Latin, occasionally adding references to characters from movies, novels, videogames or anime that I liked (such as Seraphim Sister Rebecca and her dual bolt pistols :b).

I create fluff as I model and paint a squad. Each squad has it's own bit of fluff. I of course have some odd troopers that I add to different squads to get the proper numbers for the game.

No, their names are in no particular order.

I play Orks, and I use(d) a fairly simple system. Da Warboss, Nobs, Runtherds, Trukks, Wagons, and Flashgitz (not that I have any) are named. Regular boyz don't get names often, their accolades being hoarded by the unit. Kill markings on tanks usually don't happen, but I di tally dread kills.

The reason I say use(d) is because of Rukk Gitsquisha, the driver of my only GW Trukk. During a Doubles tournament, a big mash up assault between my last squad of Trukk Boyz, my little bro's Genestealers, and 2 squads of Sternguard with Kantor was grinding into its 3rd turn, and my last non-immobile Trukk was trapped by the Assault so all it could do is plow through the assault. To save time, the GM had us count the entire assault as one unit.

The Trukk ended up killing the last of my Orks, the last 3 sternguard around Kantor, and a ton of genestealers beore being running over Kantor at the same time he swats the Trukk into a nearby Mycetic Spore. He destroyed my army, the Crimson Fists army, and the Tyranid army, then exploded....

He's got his new name: Rukk Gitsquisha, and he'll never die, along with his gunner, Tuf ZogDakka. As the army grows, their ride will, too. Right now ts just a Trukk with Big Shoota that I'll be adding a Crimson Fist and Genestealer corpse to the front of.Eventually, I hope to give them a Battlewagon made from a wrecked Crimson Fists' Land Raider, and maybe even a Looted superheavy. It seems fitting they get one after stomping a Chapter Master, though fluff-wise I'll just say he ran over a Captain.

So yeah... That's what I do.

If I had a dollar for every dollar I spent I'd have all my money back.

My personal secret lair

I just create a backstory for my army and name all my HQ units and sergeants and such. Vehicles I name often too.

I shall rule the world someday utilizing my cuteness. And I already have one minion to help me do it!

Of course it makes sense. When there are a bunch of BDSM clowns doing Olympic gymnast routines throughout your unit, while also cutting off heads, you tend to get a bit distracted.
