You're forgetting the golden rule. It's not whether you win or lose a match, it's how you play the game that makes you remember it as a good or bad game. You have got into fights with this guy in the past, I don't think he likes you much either. Think of the new store as a new beginning and try to learn the rules better so you don't have so much discord when you play the guy again. Or, roll off sooner, OR ask the local head honcho to make a ruling.

Ok so a new store just opened up from my house with a 15-30 min walk, it is amazing and nice. That is not the problem. Yesterday a semi-regular came into a different store(The one i play at now) advertising the new to all the people and saying how much better it is, how how he is tire of not getting a game in at our store(At most we have about 4 games at a time). Now me and this guy have a history, fights, insults and stuff, everyone is happy him and his boys are leaving. The problem is I want to go to this new store to get an extra game a week. But with him there and another guy i know(He was the one who originally put me off tournaments because he was the stereotypical tournament player you hear about), im not sure I want to go. Should I go to this new store(I already do it for RPG's) for 40k to get some more experience, or should just avoid it?

We always see issues on Dakka about this and that store,"My FLGS is run bad," "I don't go to GW stores", this and that.... Bottom line up front, YOU have a good store, you should stay there and support it. I would be suspicious that the resident jackass that starts all the trouble is the posterboy for the "New" store. Of course- you should go check it out, just to see it, but stick to your own store there unless the owners fall into the conversations we see here all the time category.

From what you posted here, I can see the assumptions here as - If this new store is so great, why is the resident assclown coming over to YOUR store there and trying to take business and stirring the crap-pot? You say he baited you, put you off to Tournies, and you have a history, etc. You should know that you ARE going to end up getting it on here, don't you: IE he's going to get into it with you for no other reason then to stir up some drama. If anything, you should ask the owner what HE thinks about this guy doing that in his store. I think it is a bit rude, or in poor form, if I read this right.

This looks to me like a recipe for disaster, especially if a new store is using the TFG for a cheerleader. I'd steer clear if I were you, and wait for the TFG stories to start. You should go on ahead and at least check the store out, but stick to what you have, and keep your game store there as your main place.

Play where you want, but in doing so know full well that your going to get it on and go in with your hobnail boots, and be ready to start kicking.

Assclowns rarely turn over a new leaf, just because they change venues. If anything, they continue to pee on their shoes and wear out there welcome there as well.

I have actually threatened the owner where I play at because of the way he treated me. Told him to say it again and I was going to come across the table .... and I did mean it, and he knew it. What he said I could not tell you now, but we have both let it go and moved on.

I am a natural born smart alec and have a rapist wit ... or is it rapier, I always forget. I am not sure about how you handle yourself but from the sounds of it the guy is a bit of a bully and he has crawled in your head like a spider monkey. The fact that you are writing about how he cracks on your army means that he is mentally brow beating you .... and you are LETTING him. I understand that not everyone is 6 foot tall, 190 pounds of Ironworker as I am, however you can not let people eat at you. When I am pushed, I shove.

Do what you want to do. Go to the new store if you want to or don't. Make up your mind and move on and forget about it. It sounds like he has gotten to you and you have to take the power back.

Stop being a girl and just go and play. NOUGH SAID. P.S it doesn't help being a pansy with a my little pony pic as your avatar. Don't leave Dakka because im bullying you on the interwebs.

Basically I jut did the same thing that guy did. Are you going to delete your dakka account now? NO you move on and go about your day. Go to the other store get a game in, and if he gets in your face let them drop and tell him to leave you alone. Stand your ground. I really do not see a need for this thread. Honestly man grow a pair.

That's some pretty bad advice. Mocking OP's masculinity with cliche overused sexist insults is immature, embarassing (for you) and shows a serious lack of character. But Don't leave Dakka because you give advice.
To OP; you need to make a judgment call on this one. If there are people there who you can have a good game with, then go and have fun. Don't let one jerk ruin that for you.
If you feel like you can't avoid a confrontation with this guy, then you're right to steer clear. Going to that store with full knowledge you would be at each other's throats all the time isn't fair to you or the other gamers and customers just trying to enjoy themselves.
My experience with bad players has been that they migrate from store to store because they are usually banned or kicked out repeatedly. If not, and they stay at one place, even better: you know how to avoid them.

Embarrassing for me LMAO hardly I can care less. Its sad that he doesn't know how to deal with a bully/prick. Its life get used to it. Not every one is nice, and rubbing some ones hiney and telling them its ok isn't any better. Im a nice guybut I tend to be super blunt. Lack of character you don't even know me GUY. Immature maybe but at the same time I don't let people piss in my corn flakes and ask them to please stop.

It's obvious you don't care, so stop giving your opinion. I'm sure OP knows life isn't sunshine and daisies, but your egotistical comments do no good to anyone. And i don't have to know you to realize that you aren't fit to give other people advice. And you are NOT a nice guy being blunt. Also, no one pissed in OP'S cornflakes, so that kind of "eye for an eye" logic doesn't work. Of course you would have realized this if you had given it any thought before unceremoniously vomiting all over the internet.
I'm generally a nice guy, and i tend to be super blunt. I don't pretend to help people when all I'm actually doing is putting them down and boosting my already self-inflated ego.

First, Yoda has nothing to do with this. If being a decent human being and standing up against bullying makes me "YODA" then whatever, i hope there are plenty of "YODAS."
Second, I don't have a high horse. Everyone makes mistakes, and if you had apologized, then I wouldn't have given you crap. But you didn't which is hardly surprising given your lack of "caring." Makes me wonder why you even bothered posting in the first place, if other than to put down OP.
Third, It maybe the internet, but nobody is handed a license to be a bully. That includes you there, so called "nice guy."
Finally, I'm not trying to purge the internet of bad advice. I don't quit my day job to go find jerks on the internet, there are enough I have to deal with in life as it is. But if I see someone being victimized in front of me, you had better bet your bottom dollar that I'm not gonna put up with that.
Also, you can respond however you feel, because as an adult, I'm fine with you having the last word. I've said all I need to.
I digress however, this has gotten off topic. I apologize for my part in this. I hope that you have found your answer by now OP, and that it was the correct choice (which only you will know.)

Well, OP, looks like fights happen everywhere?

The one bit advice I'd say is - don't sweat it. Just drop in casually, thinking you'll take a game if there's one available that you like the look of.

Given you've mentioned there's two guys there already you dislike, it sounds like the new place couldbe a source of stress, not enjoyment. You're the only person who can eliminate that stress, by chilling, try it out, but keep your expectations low.

You've already had arguments with these dudes, so just laugh at them, ignore them, whatever, don't get drawn in.

You mean couldn't. You have typed that you can care less therefore care allot.

If you care so much don't debase yourself by being "super blunt" (which is another poor use of English), you should be more polite. Rule #1 and all that!

To the point though I do agree with the core of your post which is that he should just get on with it. If continue to spend time worrying what might happen then you will never do anything yourself. Go about your business as you want if the TFG gang want to be territorial the so be it, the store owner will quickly cool their jets when he sees customers slipping away.

But, it sounds like there are 2 groups of people, and 2 shops.
If it comes to it, just agree not to go to 'their' shop, and make sure they don't come back to 'yours'.
It does mean you're losing access to one of the 2, but it might be for the better.

Perhaps SheSpits (not sure if the connotation behind that name belongs on this site) was simply referring to himself as a giant marijuana cig in a cape, when he says, "super blunt"

And hotsauceman, come one dude you've got like 4 of these, "help me deal with my real life social issue" threads. If the guy's a prick, just tell him flat out, "I don't like you and would like to game with someone else."

It's moments like this make me glad I live in a state with both open carry and concealed carry

You never have to give a reason why you don't want to play someone. But if he ask, say "I don't like you."

One of three things will happen.
1. He will not ask again.
2. He will question why and you can have a nice talk about your issues, possibly work them out.
3. He will get upset and want to fight. See my first comment on why this option almost never happens at my game stores.

On Dakka he was Eldanar. In our area, he was Lee. R.I.P., Lee Guthrie.

I was thing the same thing, but I've heard he's a very soft spoken kinda guy in real life, and this doesn't sound like him. Then again, Jason has been rumored to play warhammer and SheSpits DID say he was a nice guy in real life. Who knows?

And to the OP, hotsauce, you do seem to post a lot of these kinds of social issues on here-it sometimes seems there's a new one each week. You gotta start standing up for yourself in these situations, not continuously ask everyone here for help and then seemingly ignore it as the same thread begins anew the following week. Sorry man, but this is too common an issue. And that's really the best advice I can give, even though it sounds harsh.

@Alfndrate: You are right, I wil just ignore him, I come to the store often the owner knows I dont make trouble. If he does try to make trouble with me he will be in a world of trouble there.
Although this is something I cannot wrap my head around, he is 40 or so with like 4 kids, yet he cannot act like an adult when loosing.

He is acting like an adult whilst loosing, its just that he is an adult who is a bit of a prick.

There's all sorts of adults, not everyone can be cool like Vin Diesel, Belinda Carlise and me. There has to be pricks so that we can shine.

Well, that about wraps that one up.

From your first post it seems that.
A the guy is a thoughtless (advertising the new store whilst visiting the old one ) idiot.
B You and others were glad to see him go.
C Going to the new store would only net one extra game per week.

If the good guys stayed at your store, and the manager is OK why bother.
