1. Ravenwing- Didnt think i was going to like them, Got them throug a trade and love everything about them
2 Eldar. The only faction i spent money on to build and the only army ive really taken time with to paint.
3. Chaos Demons- Awsome fluff and everything evil in 40k comes from chaos.

1. Inquisition/Sisters/Grey Knights: From back in the day when they all played together nicely! Plus I love the idea of Guard-style armies being reinforced by a small detachment of SM-style special forces. It just feels more real to me.
2. Eldar: Sleek and destructive with great fashion and just a hint of condescension.
3. Tau: As someone else pointed out, the Gundam/Mecha army rocks. Plus, they are basically history repeating itself. As the IoM once ravaged the stars only to fall upon their own sword, so too shall the My-Little-Blue-Ponies of space meet their own timely downfall.

Sisters of Battle, by far my favorite to play. Love the fluff and models.
Grey knights. great fluff, fun to play.
Chaos Space Marines. So many factions, so much fluff.
many others I love, But these 3 are my top tier of favorites.

#1- Catachan Imperial Guard- Jungle fighters who grow up on one of the harshest planets, along with muscles and sweet bandanas. Hoo-ah.
#2- Death Guard Chaos Space Marines- Come on, Zombie Space Marines, with blood, guts, and tentacles galore. Whats not to like.
#3- Black Templars- Overzealous Space Marines charging into combat screaming litanies of the emperor and burning witches.

1) Death Korps of Krieg, The only people a commissar doesn't shoot because they know all his friends want the same....
2)Raven Guard, I like their style of combat and Corax kicked butt.
3)Tau, The only faction to all make use of modern military tactics!

1) Tau - love me some space commies. High tech, pseudo good guys.
2) Grey Knights. I love the whole daemon hunter / marine chapter founded from the emperor vibe.
3) Imperial Guard - impressive looking on a table. Wish they still did variant army types like Mordian and Steel legion.

1 Eldar... Dont have them but they are the most interesting race out there IMO I dont have them because Eldar have to be painted like a Bawzzz... sadly i dont have the skills..
2 Da Orks waaaaagh!!! DA ORKSSS!!!!! Most fun and enjoyable race out there.. I have them at roughly 5k value
3 Dark Angels.. c'mon.. they look awesome! Their chapter painting styles are amazing and love cloaks!!

and my second and third favorites right now are tied between Sisters of Battle and Salamanders Flamers and meltas yaha I think Salamanders are probally slightly higher on my favorites though because i actually use to play them alot and twin linked is awsome.

Purposeful Hammerhead Pilot

Tau first and foremost. Quintessential Sci-Fi army. Amazing fluff (especially the new stuff in the Farsight Supplement)
Second: Dark Eldar, never played with them and have been beaten down by them on more than a few occasions. Really like the look and feel of an army of fast moving sadistic elf pirates, but personally not an army i would like to own but one of my favorite to play against.
Third: Tie between Necrons and Salamanders. Big fan of both their back stories and fluff. Really like look and play styles of Necrons. Vulcan is by far my favorite SM character and the idea of flamer/melta wielding ebony Marines is just awesome.
