At my Keyboard

Welcome to the internet. It has been this way since Eternal September and has shown no sign of reversing course.

You right every one else is jumping off a bridge it must be a GREAT idea! I hear its much easier to be a sheep then a Shepard. Sad really.

Except nothing wrong has been done. Are we apologizing for things that weren't wrong then? Sorry!

If your gonna quote me, make sure you dont change my words around. "should the little nugget", referring to IF it is true, in no language means definite. So IF you do some one wrong. see where I am going here? probably not.

You have a realllllly low threshold for flaming. Nothing in this thread is even CLOSE to flaming.

Was gonna break this one down but I am just going to ask you to read it again.

I hear magazines are nice. Also, books. If you go on to a discussion board though, you're bound to find discussion. As with most discussions, there will be good and bad. You filter through it, ignore the particularly nasty ones, hit the little yellow triangle for people who break rules and generally enjoy yourself. Or you give yourself a stroke trying to right the wrongs of the world. Whatever floats your boat.

Dial down the condescension pal.

You are right, I am wrong, I apologize. I forgot the rule about trolls are gonna troll and no matter how well intentioned you are, one is always goin to come along. Enjoy your bridge.

I hope we do see such a set of books. I hope they are pretty fun to use in our game. I hope that those who do like them will enjoy what they can do with the rules and back ground based army lists. Mostly I hope they are real so the OP can show back up and post another bit of information he has gathered and thought enough to share with the group so he can be granted entrance to the brotherhood that is Dakka. That or we can just start insulting his family or some other nonsense thing like that, but hey welcome to the internet, everyone is doing it.

To the rest of you trying to read this thread as I did in the beginning with the crazy ideal that people should be given a chance before they get dog piled on ( IN ANY THREAD NOT SPECIFICALLY T HIS ONE) I apologize than in my own defense and that of the OP I contributed to the sort of detritus I spoke about earlier. So I will end my commenting on this thread. Sorry guys. Good Day, I shall say no more.

Supposedly each supplement will add more and more rules. I hope this is true because the chaos codex needs some fixing. The BL supplement doesn't seem to fix anything. I'm crossing my fingers that they'll get better.

this sounds suspiciously like youre expecting gw to do something that you know they won't.

The plural of codex is codexes.

Bah humbug. We're "tolerating" the OP just fine. He's not been banned or driven away yet. We just don't like him.

To be honest, I can see this happening, what's more I've been hearing Chaos payers crying out for this sort of thing for years.
Think about it, a supplement that is compatible with two codecies?
Both of which have a loyal following?
If they are produced, I can see them selling in large quantities.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

That'd be great if this is true. I'd love to see a Khorne supplement. There was a thread in Proposed Rules suggesting something similar so that'd be funny if it was true

To be honest, this Supplements are becoming rather too much, they have the price of a fully fledged book, for 1 page of rules content. I think supplements would be a grate way to update codexes so that they are not 2 editions behind. Like say Chapter Imperial Turkeys for codex space marines, "this chapter emphasizes bolt gun drill bla bla bla in while using this CT your tactical squads costs X points less per model".
Releasing multiples of this things is pushing it.

The codex and supplements are how they pull in most of their money I assume since once you have an army you really don't need to buy much anymore except a for things here and there but for the most part you're done. If they keep releasing new rules though you have to stay up to date and it kind of forces you to buy them. I can't imagine the books cost much of anything to make considering how tiny they are and they sell them uber expensive.

Confused on what you're trying to prove but once you buy an army they aren't going to make any money from you buying models anymore. Ergo they keep pumping out codex so you have to buy something.

The problem is, what does it give more then simply Alling CSM and Deamons really?...

In once case a guy will take 4 CSm units and 3 deamons units, you allready can do that with Allies and vice versa.

Taking only 2 Deamons/CSM units with the reste being CSm/Deamons?, allready can do that through allies, so why would people need another 50$ supplement that allows you to do exactly what you allready can do.

If such a supplement that let you mix Units exist, then it darn well have some new and additional rules to make it worth its 50$...

T5 Crushers with a better armor save then their invul save?...

Actual Khorne Axes that give a S boost..., its pretty ironic that a GD of tzeentch as a better S then a Bloodthirster with his staff...

CSM icons that can be used to DS the Deamons units?

Thats the only way i can see something like that work, and still i do not deem this to be worthy of 50$...

I think the man boost that you get from not needing to ally to take both daemons and marines is it allows you to take both and ally guard or ork for example. Chaos playersvwill essentially able to mix 3 armies together in one force. Also we don't know what warlord traits and special wargear will be in it.... Although traits are almost always lame

There should be a comma between "typical" and "Dakka", although I'd argue that you would be more likely to find more shared traits of users on this site that would allow one to view an "average" user. Though that's neither here nor there!

I'm not holding my breath for these books given how the Black Legion supplement turned out, hahaha

There's a lot to be said for taking the effort to provide evidence to back up your claims - and holding your tongue until you have such evidence.
Granted, this is only a wargaming forum, but rumours and flat-out untruths have been seen to cause real damage because there are people in this world who have the ability to effect that damage, who will believe whatever you tell them.

Case in point - if celebrities are "charged" with something, or even if media reports they've committed a crime without any evidence whatsoever, that celebrity immediately goes down in the public eye. Regardless of whether charges are sustained or dropped, or found not guilty, or if media later admits fault or backtracks. The damage is already done.
Going on different scales, people lose jobs, companies lose contracts and friendships and relationships are broken over similar things.

In short - you're DAMN RIGHT we're going to be unreceptive towards a rumour posted with nothing to back up its validity. This kind of crap needs to be stamped out, and luckily we now have the Internet to help us do it.

If this happend I think thry could squeez all of that into one book, and what about chaos undivded? It looks like I and other players would have to get all four books or none at all.

Also I think I would prefer to see chaos as four splited factions, simillary like grey knights and stuff.

I would love Icons in my units that allowed this.

As someone else said, it would open up another army for allies, and deal with how many Heralds you can have in your force presumably.

Perhaps it would even allow CSM IC's and Daemonic IC's to join each others units. I would love to have my Sorceror escorted by a harem of Daemonettes.
