Subject: the dumbest 40k model you have ever seen?
Ailaros wrote: Old one-eye may be a rather ugly model, but it looks WAY better than what carnifexes looked like in 2nd edition...
Just me but I still like they way they looked, like they are coming to bite your face off and shred what remains. No, they don't have the cool detailing that the present day plastic kits do, but the basic body design looked like what carnifex are supposed to be. A mass of muscle and super tough chiton that can take fire that would destroy tanks and rip apart bunkers. That is part of my dislike of the present Finecast Old One Eye, he looks stringy.
And I don't care how long he spent in the water of McCrag, he should have been using barnicles for snacks. That part of the model simply makes it unredeemable to me. I do, however, hope to get a stone crusher carnifex someday soon (and not from the Russian Federation, damned their eyes) and remodel him a bit to use for Old One Eye. That model is terrifying and is perfect for him.

Seriously? I think old raptors looked badass and same goes for lictors.
Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.
If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

How does it even walk? There is no chance in hell it could even move it's body's centre of gravity to one side enough to actually lift one of its legs.
Stupid.
They should scrap the entire line and move to more "plausible" Walkers like the Dreadknight entirely.

Obviously a ancient design, maybe even used for non-military functions...
Mutilators and obliterators, neither of which have conveyed what you read in the fiction at any stage and instead just look terrible, rushed, lazy and comedic.

Before you bring up some physics quibble most people won't care about, allow me to remind you that this is the same setting where space elves orgied a ten thousand light year wide hole in reality into being.
Or that the general public is enamored with a Norse god in a red cape strong enough to lift a planet sized snake who flies by spin tossing his hammer and calls down lightning from nowhere.

There have been many good mentions. It's hard to pick a "dumbest" with all the awful models that have escaped Games Workshop's obviously non-existent quality control department.
Dialogus will probably always top my list. About the worst model execution ever. Especially given that most other Sisters models are fairly well done. Except...
Inquisitor Karamazov's Walking Circus Throne.
Dreadknight.
Thunderwolf Cavalry.
Space Marine flyers. All of them. Except maybe FW's Storm Eagle.*
Centurions.
Most of the IGuard plastics.
The new Tau and Eldar Gundam toys.
Khornemower.
*This one is especially confusing because the IGuard ones are all really cool looking.

I actually kind of like the dreadnought. It's ludicrous design that only barely works that produces this awkward lumbering gait but we can't change the way we construct them because that would be heresy is exactly what the imperium is about.

It was like "yo dawg, I heard you like some wolves with your space wolves, so I put your space wolves on top of wolves so they can wolfy wolfy space wolves."
Of course, now that time has passed I...no, I can't, it's still dumb to me, seriously I used to love Space Wolves.
Thank you for putting my response in better words than i ever could.Do people seriously think Space Marines riding on wolves is a good idea? It is a shame becuase i rather like every other thing about SW

The dreadknight is a close second since it looks like a baby carrier.
the new flayed ones were garbage and just threw them out there cuz they thought the good looking ones were too hard to turn into finecast or something

The new Librarian, more precisely the cherub attached really ruins the model imo. No point in adding any of the ones mentioned. Except maybe to reiterate the awful SM flyers.
Bruins fan till the end.
Never assume anything, it will only make an ass of you and me.

The little cherub is its own piece and can be left off.
All of those new SM character models with all kinds of ridiculous speakers and servo skulls and such are pretty awful.
I just don't think they reach the Walking Throne and Bug Eyed Velma and Stormtalon level of awful.

In an effort to add some originality to this thread, I'l nominate the FW hellblade:
It looks kind of awsome at first, but then you realise that the wing design means the piece of scat would have to either fly at a normal speed and almost certainaly stall, or fly really [emphasis on really] fast and risk lowered levels of control.
Also the Thunderwolves are no more dumb than GKs having powers swords on sticks AKA smart and fits with their style.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Every SM flyer but the stormeagle looks like vomit too.

While the old Tyranid warriors were indeed iredeemably stupid looking, I'll raise you some 3e Tyrant guard.
Yeah they had a pretty damn radical shift.

They're about seven hundred and seventy two thousands, four hundred and six times more dumb. A study was done on it at Oxford. It's been quantified.
I don't know what style the Thunderwolves it fits with, but that style needs to die in a fire, and quickly. Everything about Space Wolves was better when it was more space, and less wolf.

And if you're curious about the 2e Tyranid warriors.
Wonder no more

Well, it's "wings" aren't that much smaller than the wings of the old Starfighter were
