I'm not that scared of Grav guns. They have to get incredibly close and are always on a comparatively fragile platform.

Also if someone wants to spam grav-guns, be my guest. Next week my foot guard will laugh at them.

I just realised....I have a Land Raider Terminus Ultra in my collection. That might be game for a laugh with Iron Hands?

Is the Terminus Ultra now in the book or has it been killed off?

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Aren't Ultras only Apocalypse legal?

In any case, you can get nearly as many lascannon shots off from a Spartan and run it with multimeltas to have better and more survivable anti-tank that can also transport.

Where did you get a silly idea like that? Neither Bikes nor Centurions are any bit fragile, and they are the only units that you will see them on. Neither of them have to get incredibly close either, being 18" and 24" respectively.

I always thought Spartans were APOC as well, (awaiting the 2nd FW HH book - MASSACRE).

If you want TH/SS, take some vanguard veterans and a Techmarine.

I take one from time to time, also putting a techmarine or MOTF with a few servitors inside for repair. The silly thing tends not to die. Ever.

Neither bikes nor centurions have invulnerable saves, and 24" is small-arms range; not terribly impressive. I am not at all concerned with my ability to kill Bikes or Centurions - after all, in terms of durability, Centurions are gakky Nurgle Obliterators with no invuln.

Amusing to hear this considering broadsides are even more fragile, yet people keep crying over them.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

I think Labmouse can show that the Dakka per point of Missilesides is pretty damn ridiculous.

I don't cry over them. I enjoy seeing them across the table. Some people just don't run enough proper main battle tanks.

I'm guessing this means that seeing a Longstrike Hammerhead makes you break out into hives?

And? Most things in the game don't have invulnerable saves, and in the reality of things invulnerable saves are overrated because rate of fire is what kills things in the current meta, not low AP stuff. Invuls don't matter when your armour and/or cover are better, but high toughness does. Plus Bikes have cover saves, and with the army you are talking about, there are no Markerlights or Dark Reapers. Then again without specifics about the list you are backing, all this is is random smack talk about how you have no problem putting down Bikes and Centurions with your Iron Hands.

Every time I've seen longstrike I've killed him easily after he takes a hull point away, if not before.
