to me, Mr Bob is one of the best mini sculpters out there ... and is an awesome person. real nice to talk with. my favorite miniature he has done to this date is the Dog Handler line from his Scrunts ... the first one is on attached picture. (a screenshot from his page)

I'd have snapped them up in a moment if the weapons looked a bit/lot better, but... I hate 2/3 of the weapons. Something more like the original Ogryn ripper gun as shown above, or an oversized assault rifle/assault shotgun would have been perfect...

Hi everyone, thanks for all your great comments and suggestions, I've really enjoyed reading them. Thanks also to everyone here who's supported our Kickstarter. Depending on how the Kickstarter goes I've got a variety of gas masks sculpted that I would like to offer separately on tags of 3 and they could be used on many of the bodies, plus the scrunties (lady dwarves) heads could also be added as a tag option or as a set. When working out the Kickstarter we had to choose which sets to include and which to hold back, because we discovered the funding goal was too high if we included everything we had. Anyway it's looking good so far and hopefully we will reach that goal soon.

KICKSTARTER UPDATE -SETS 6, 7 & 8 Now part of the main funding goal!
Hello, as novices to Kickstarter we are learning all the time how best to run one and after reading many of the comments on here and various forums we realised that there are people who would like to pledge but don't because the miniatures they would like to choose are in the Stretchgoal and of course there is a risk that the stretchgoal amount won't be reached and the miniatures stay locked. We really wanted those people who were holding back to feel confident that if they pledged and the funding goal was met, they would be able to choose the miniatures they actually wanted, not discover they were still locked. So we looked at our funding calculations and finances again to see if we could include the sets 6, 7 & 8, we realised that when the Kickstarter ended and the survey was sent out to our backers we would know which sets were in high demand and which sets less so, this is really useful as it means we will know which sets can share a production mould and so save a bit on the expenses. With this revelation we have been able to include the stretchgoal sets 6, 7 & 8 within the main funding goal, hip hip hooray!

These dwarfs are amazing. I love the victorian steampunk ones.

Q.On vehicals

The vehicle I am working on atm is a tracked tank like vehicle, but I don't mean a conventional tank, a steampunk one, I will as promised show some pictures of it very soon.

Q.Calls for poachers as a future stretch goal

I really like the poacher ideas and atm I am just trying to figure out how to introduce another set and like you have said I will make use of existing miniatures to generate new ones. I am giving it some thought and will get James to do some artwork for me, I am thinking of covering various different types of poacher such as salmon, duck, rabbit any more suggestions welcome, they'll have nets shotguns, traps... It would be a very exciting set to make and if possible add as a stretchgoal,

Q.And several of us fancy a punt (steam powered) with a nice big punt gun on for the poachers to ride in

time permitting maybe I could even add the punt as a stretchgoal it would be a really cool addition.

Q. And how about some rats to replace/in addition to the fighting cocks for a 'lower class' gambling ring

Finally, also love the rats suggestion as an alternative for the cockfighters, that idea hadn't occured to me, so many thanks.

New Sets Added! Plus WIP Pictures

Hello, we have just added 3 New sets of scrunts (SF Dwarfs) to Olleys Armies Kickstarter, 5 Scrunties, 5 Palace Guards & 5 Riot Squad miniatures. They are included in the main funding goal, giving backers a total of 11 Sets to choose from



That's not all, we have some WIP pictures for you of the Steampunk Vehicles Bob has been working on. They will be added as a stretchgoal this week, when we have worked out their cost. They will be cast in metal, but hopefully as Bob has made them with hollowed pieces they won't weigh too much. We will add new pledge levels soon to cover all the extra pieces we will have added. Dunno about the tanks and mobile guns, so much as I'd be looking at making gun teams first...

At the moment if you pledge for 7 sets (£110) you get an 8th set free, and additional sets are £15 each

however they are now looking at introducing a super large pledge level for 14 sets with 2 free (they've got to do some postage weight calculations first)

so if you're after an army keep your eyes open

EDIT: this is another suggestion from a backer, so if you have any questions or suggestions do make them as Bob is listening (I got my fighting rats!)

I'm still thinking two-man heavy weapon teams would be a good idea.

I also think the tracks on the mobile gun and tank need some work, they look somewhat organic and rounded rather than solid and edged.

We estimate the kit will retail for £18 GBP + Postage, however for this Kickstarter we will be offering it at the discount price of £15 GBP + postage £3.00 UK & £4.00 Overseas

When the Steampunk Tank is unlocked you only need to pay the postage (£3 UK, £4 elsewhere) if you pledged for 4 sets or fewer

If you're pledging for 5 or more sets of Scrunts it will be not cost you any postage (as your pledge already needs to be sent as a small package and the added weight won't add on to Bob's costs)

Hello Everyone on DakkaDakka, I just wanted to thank you for all the support given on this forum for our Kickstarter. With your help so far we have exceeded our funding goal and with no advertising budget available, we have relied heavily on you all spreading the word, so a BIG THANK YOU.
We still have just over 5 days to go before the curtain goes down on Friday 6th December, and there will be a couple more additions such as wip of Queen Vic, plus the rats fight alternative minis and backpack tags.
