What on earth? You just said MakumbaHammerers: my suggestion would be to buy Warriors, equip them with great weapons, and then convert the axes to hammers with some spare weapon bits. Thougth about it too . Asked my friends and at the store , I was told that I can only do proxies like that , if there are no GW models for a unit . If there is the only option is to use GW models and , no I dont play at a GW store. And now you are saying; MakumbaHammerers are really easy to convert. Just buy dwarf warriors, chop the head off the axe and glue on a hammer from the 1 handed hammer bit. hmm actualy this could work , the dwarf and all the parts come from a GW box , so unless they say I can't because the hammers head isn't big enough it should be a good way to make them . two boxs of warriors would give me a nice unit of hammerers,. Either it works or it doesn't work. Your groups rules are crazy enough without you confusing us.

What on earth? You just said
I didn't know there were hammers in the warrior box . All the dwarf warriors I have are armed with ax or two handed axs. I though people said to get hammers from other sources and use them for the warrior models. , that wouldn't have worked . But if the dwarf box set has hammers in it too , I could try to convert them to hammerers , unless they say that one handed hammers are too small . the only problem may be with the fact that there are hammerer models made by GW , in general proxies here accepted only if GW didn't produce a model or if the shop owner says it is ok . His demon army is 2/3 scratch build and his sons Ogers have models he sculpted himself.

Do you think if you said you were really not enjoying playing and were thinking of stopping because of some of the house rules, it would make any impact?

Groups that make that many house rules to screw over one player generally don't care if that one player is enjoying it or not.

Take a look.
You get plenty of hammer heads, and those hammer heads are pretty much the exact size of the hammers on the hammerer units.
Just clip the axe head off the 2 handed axes and add the hammer top.
You can even clip the anvil out of the middle of the banner top and use it as a hammer top.

Told me the dwarfen hammers are too small , but the store onwer told me that empire wolf knights hammers would be ok , bought 30 wolf knights today from him and some old anvil guard dwarfs with two handers with command that will give me a very nice 35 man unit of hammerers. With a RL and a Thane BSB it is going to be rock hard. I will test how they do with 2 unit of 20 xbow man in support and 2 cannons 1 flame cannon and a lobber.

I don't think so . Too many people play with monsters armies or armies with monsters inside , doubt they would want their armies get worse just that someone plays dwarfs .the cut slots, magic item veto system , no specials other then monsters or on monsters lord-heros and WYSIWYG-proxy rules are the stuff that is used for GT here , like it or not everyone has to use those rules . There is very few people that that can go around this. there is one dude that plays FW chaos dwarfs and that is more or less it . FW here is normaly a total no go . Some people don't even let others use FW models with normal GW rules in non tournament games .

Rangers are a unit of Warriors, Longbeards, or Quarrelers, who have great weapons. You normally get 0-1 on them. If you run Bugman, you get an extra set of them.

I really don't even know where to begin on how stupid of a "rule" this is.
I'd have just carved hammer-heads out of the plastic frames that the Warriors came in. There. Now they're "big enough". And they came from a GW box. Oiy.
Now, I'm not saying that Dwarfen gunlines aren't a trial and a bore, to play and play against, but they're also not so good that you need to turn the game on its head to hinder them.

It's obvious that the owner changes the rules so he makes the most profit from it. I'd complain to GW about him (just on principle) and then try to win over other people he screwed over to play somewhere else.

well there is other place to play. just the shop and I doubt GW will do anything about him , he does the translation for all Polish version of rulebooks and codex etc. And I doubt telling GW that a shop generates sells would get any reaction .

I feel sorry for you, Makumba. The guy running this store sounds like kind of a throwback to when game stores were opened by a gaming geek who wanted to have total control over the gaming experience, rather than someone actually trying to make a successful business.
