So I spent some time today working on something off topic for Deadzone, but that could still easily be used in the game. I finally got around to making my Scavvies gang for Necromunda. These models could make some pretty sweet 3rd gens as well, and I may do that some, which is why I thought I would put them here. I also made some plague zombies for the gang, and from what I understand, there will eventually be zombies in Deadzone. So here's the gang. Its pretty basic, but I'm excited to get some paint on them.

This is my gang leader. I will come up with a suitable back story for him as I paint him.

Some closer shots of the gang. These are the guys I could see using as 3rd gens.

Well thats it. I know its not strictly Deadzone, but the reason I dug these guys out is so I could use some of them for Deadzone. Will post pics as I start to get some paint on them.

Pretty cool, I've always wished I'd gotten into necromunda when I first started this stuff. Interesting gang too.

I actually got them for free. I had ordered an Orlock gang from eBay and they sent me this. When I contacted them they said they didn't have the Orlocks and that they would refund my money and let me keep the Scavvies as an apology. I was more than willing to take that.

Have you seen any rules for zombies in any of the KS stuff yet, Grim? I know they definitely talked about it.

Nice, some necromunda stuff ^^

The deadzone stuff looks awesome as well. As a necromunda player, I might have to buy that set for the terrain. Looks good.

No not yet. I think when the compendium comes out all of that will be in it. Not sure which books are gonna be retail-available, one of them was a backers only thing I think, but obviously the rules to use the new stuff will show up somewhere. But no word on solo/coop/zombies play yet.

I got two FFTactics that way once, took them like a month to get the one out and I complained before it showed up and two came in around the same time. I offered to send one back but they never replied so y'know whatevs.

It works for Necromunda definitely. Its a little clean cut to be from "the underhive" but it works in game wonderfully. I'm going to try to get the terrain more gritty and used so that it fits the aesthetic.

Grim, hopefully I will be able to get my hands on that compendium. Solo and zombie rules sound great.

I'm sure the rules will come out in some kind of print. There was a compilation hardback that I'm super excited for, but I know the rules will be available somewhere.

I think the dz tiles would make a good base for necro terrain. Build structures and cover them with junk and makeshift barricades.

OK, last update for the day. Got two more enforcers finished up. These are two of the specialists, the Heavy (rocket launcher) and the sniper. The sniper seems to be pretty awesome in game, so glad to have him ready for the table. And here we go...

And that's it for today. Got quite a bit of hobby done with the day off work. Unfortunately, I have to go back tomorrow. Will try to get something up though if I make enough progress. Some more plague is on the docket for tomorrow.

Those look good. The textured paint even conquered the dreaded ml guy platform shoes. Making a lot of progress, kudos for you

Yeah, it only took 3 layers of it. I don't know what they were thinking with those. You cant see them the way I've done the base, but he's SOOO tall now. Tall even for an enforcer. Oh well, maybe it will give him better angles for blowing up those foolish enough to cross the corporation!

Actually, you can still see them some. Oh well...

Yeah... but now they look more like concrete slabs he's on or something. A lot more subtle now at least. Hope they get that stuff out of their system by the warpath ks.

Yeah, I'm very excited / nervous about the Warpath KS. I'm really looking forward to vehicles, I just hope they come out well. I also think they will probably have some Deadzone crossover during the KS, though that is TOTAL speculation on my part.

I have to say, I like the scheme you've come up with for your Enforcers. It reminds me of the basic N7 armor from Mass Effect. I might have to steal it or do something similar with some of mine since I have enough for a second squad and I hate having to paint white.

So I've been pretty busy with work / family and what not, so have not had much time for hobbying since my super productive Monday. I have been working though, slowly but surely, so I wanted to put SOMETHING up so I could feel like I'm making some progress. I have some very early stages WIP on my stage 1 and my sentry drones, as well as some base coated plague zombies who will serve double duty in my Scavvies gang, as well as zombies for when they get rules in Deadzone. Anyways, here goes...

Imagine this motley crew coming across the table after you!

Barzam, thanks for the compliment. Didn't do it on purpose, but they do have a mass effect vibe.

I will try to get some more progress up. Have a 40k game saturday which will take up much of my free time, but I'm sure I will make some Deadzone progress. For now, I'm about to go get in a game of Necromunda.

Thanks for looking, and as always, feel free to comment!

40k and necromunda in the same week? /turbo jealous

Stage 1 looks interesting and who doesn't like a good zombie

I'll say this for you: lack of progress due to actually getting to play is a pretty good problem to have

Yeah, it's gonna be a good weekend for gaming. My goliaths lost so some orlocks tonight, but they all lived and one leveled up, so it wasn't all bad. Only had time for one game tonight.

40k Saturday will be my marines vs a friends eldar. He also wants to try out deadzone, so I will make sure to post some pics of that.

Despite all that, I intend to make some sort of progress on my deadzone stuff in the next few days. Will post pics as it happens of course.

Excellent. Its good to hear that other people actually get games in. Hope for the future and all of that.

I never got too far, but I had started my own Goliath gang project a while back. Chaos marauders and IG/sm bits.

Maybe they'll sneak into deadzone someday :p

My goliaths are marauders and lots of random arms and bits. Friends orlocks are catachans with random bits for weapons. Original models are too expensive.

Yeah, and some of them are kind of meh. I mean overall they're neat enough, but plastic models are a lot easier to convert into all of those cool things you get from experience and extra gear. Not that I've ever played, I discovered it late in the game, I'm just enthusiastic from afar.

Looking good. One thing though, I can see some mold lines.
If you remove them they would look even better

So my gaming group and I decided to play in a doubles team tournament in Richmond in about 8 days. I've decided to play Chaos Marines as I haven't played them much lately. I will be teamed up with one of my old college buddies, who will be playing Necrons. Most of my chaos minis were unpainted, and while the this tourney doesn't take painting into account, I still wanted to get as much done as I could before it started. That being said, I've spent as much free time as I can getting my force ready. This has put Deadzone off to the side temporarily, but I will be back at it as soon as this tournament is done.

So here is my Demon Prince who will lead my part of the army.

Next are some of my cultists. I have more than this done, but still have more to do. I love cultists, both painting and playing with them.

And finally, here are some WIP of my marines. The weapons are a bit bright right now, but I will tone them down by the time I'm done.

Still need to work on some more marines and my Hell Drake. I'm only taking one before anyone cries cheese. Anyways, hope you enjoyed and as always, comments and ideas welcome.

Nice work. How much are you thinking you can get done in time? The dp and cultists look great, are those yellow swords on the Marines getting hazard stripes?

I'm hoping to get the 5 marines done and the hell drake. Anything else will just be extra. Definitely gonna put hazard stripes on the weapons, then weather them some.

So I haven't been working on Deadzone much as of late, but I have been working on hobby stuff in general. Mostly on 40k stuff as that is what I've been playing the most of lately. This coming weekend my gaming group has decided to try out kill team, which I have never played before. I've been trying to paint up a few new guys for this, though I will mostly be using minis I've already painted. Anyways, on to some pictures.

The two new BA I've painted up for this weekend. There is actually a third, and you can see him in the group shot.

I've also taken a few pics of Kill Team Simiel all together. I have a few more points to add, but I will figure out what to do with them before Saturday.

Well, thats all for now. I have got some more stuff done I need to put up, and I will work on updating this more as well. I will be getting some more Deadzone stuff up next week, and I've also been working on some Vampire Counts stuff I'd like to put up. Thanks for looking and as always, feel free to comment!!!

Sweet. Looks like you've got a lot of bodies which is probably a solid thing for kill team. Let us know how you like it, if I had a group I'd try to get them to play.

Got a flamer in there? 40 orks or gaunts would suck!

So I spent some time today working on Deadzone again. I decided to work on some of the drones that came with the Enforcers and the Rebs. I didn't go too crazy on these, and I tried to make them a little subdued because why would there be garish robots flying around a Deadzone. Anyways, on to the pics.

Group shot

Overhead, I like the look here, and this is how you will see the models when playing.

I tried to make the Enforcer drones a little cleaner, and the Rebs drones with a little more damage.

So thats what I finished up today. I also have another enforcer almost done and that will be all my enforcers except for the engineer. I still have some plague to do, and I'm also going to get started on the Rebels a little more. As always, thanks for looking and feel free to comment.

Also, 800th post!!!

Sweet. Sentry drones look like they could blend in with rubble if they landed and remained stationary.

So been working a little bit on Deadzone stuff since I've been home from work. I got most of the base coat on two models. Figured I'd throw up a few WIP shots. Doubt I will finish these off tonight, but who knows.

My enforcers are very uniform. I think my Rebs are gonna be very rag tag, with no real coherency. I think it fits the fluff, and its also makes painting them a little more fun.

Just a quick update. Thanks for looking and as always, feel free to comment.

Sweet, always nice to see continued progress over here

Enforcer kinda looks like he's trying to bring down a sniper or an aircraft.
