I'd go with 2 of turbolasers equivalent, so you can easily get some D weapons in.

To use and expland sub-zero's phrase.
It's a shame other people don't get it....the model gives advantages over the Warhound model and in the realm of 40k looks nothing like what a Scout titan would look like or need to look like to accomplish the capabilities you want it to come with.
If you REALLY love the model, which I can't deny you even if I think it's rubbish, homebrew rules for it would make it allowed in any game of mine. Just don't tell me it is a Warhound.
I wouldn't allow it as a Warhound Titan myself as well (homebrew some rules for it and make it a knight!)
But if his friends are okay with it, and they all use Leviathans as Titans as well than there is no problem with it, right?

The op asked what weapons would/could be used as suitable proxies. It turned into an anti-leviathan thread. If you don't have any constructive criticism then put it in one of the other threads asking if it's acceptable as a proxy or keep your negative opinions to yourself.

1. Use whatever for whatever. Rule of Cool supercedes all.
2. The people who wouldnt let you use it are the exact people you probably dont want to play with anyway if you want to have a fun game.
3. Its probably not a good comparison to a Warhound Titan. It is smaller and lacks the bulk.
That being said here's a few suggestions/observations:
Someone please tell me what weapon the Lord is using?
Personally I'm going to use my Leviathan as a knight paladin:
In Space Marine (old epic) they were equiped with a knight battle cannon and a knight melee weapon ( IIRC). To that end i'd use these:

Battle cannon had same stats as the one on the Leman Russ but shot twice, melee weapon was exactly like a CCW on any walker/super heavy. Can'g go wrong with either of those imo. Get some imperial eagle or mechanicus etched brass from FW on there and I just cant see what the problem is. Compared to the massive loads of rubbish home-built stuff that gets trolled out at most Apoc games (could just be my own group of players) this thing is solid.

Does anyone who has one of those things have any idea if it would make a good basis for a stompa? Would it be easy to remove the armour and build a plasticard shell over the basic structure?

I think it would take a lot of conversion work but could be done. Considering that it costs about the same as a GW stompa kit anyway, why would you want/need to?

If you loot one and make it orky, you have to post pics! But I agree with the above comment. It's about the same cost but I understand to have something custom looking.

This. I would rather play against a home-brewed Knight Titan in that shape, using rules similar to its stats in Epic, then against a Knight Titan that wishes it was a Warhound.

I've already got a GW stompa and I'm not a fan of the legs. I'd rather have something which looks like it can step over or on to things. I'm aiming for something like my scratch-built stompa, but hopefully more dynamic and less prne to have it's legs fall off...

IIRC doesnt a Stompa have a transport capacity? If your Stompa's main core is so high off the ground how do they get in and out? The phrase "Stompa" is more of an extension of the ork idea of what the Stompa can do, not what it actually does. In all mention and artwork a Stompa is really just a Waddler. I like the look for dreds, not Stompa's. But thats off-topic sorry.
