It's so if you have a choice of landing on two spaces with different threat icons you have a better idea which you'll fare better against. Or in the case of the "Kill a Ork/Tyranid/Eldar etc" missions it can help you draw the needed faction to complete it.

As only 2 of us we just played with the two new models and one of the new missions. That "Collectors" mission sure makes it a tougher game... if we read and understood it correctly. Hopefully got a 3rd person lined up for the future, so that will allow us to us the Nemesis characters
