Killing one per turn means 4 are getting their cargo through on turn 1, which means you have 9 units to deal with turn 2, not 4. In a henchmen based Inquisitor list with 5 Psybolt LRCs, there are a lot of heavy hitters getting through your 1 per turn anti-AV14.
No, its not an economical exchange rate, but it is harder to counter on the table top than in a vacuum.

I agree that AV 14 is definitely a "thing" in 6th ed, mostly due to the fact that medium strength, high ROF weapons are the most desirable in 6th. I don't see things going well against FMC circus.

This is why I run triple LRs with Pure GKs.

Or a single wraithknight. How much damage will you do to a 3+/5++ t8 jmc per turn? And it's only like 1/5 of your armycost. And there are some lances hovering around. Imo, landraiders are not for spam. They're not battlewagonz.
Enter Rockspaperscissorshammer - That same Wraithknight will be laid low by a couple Venoms worth of shooting no problem.

First list I played was 3 helldrakes. TLLC just cannot reliably hit them and they BBQ my troops.
Couldn't you keep your troops in the land raiders and just ignore the helldrakes?
Not really a solution when there is also infantry pouring across the board at you, some carrying melta.
