And because people playing them in my experience seem really laid back and fun to play against.

They're my 2nd choice for this poll.

Imperial Guard are like slow-pitch 40k. They're a tasty snack for most of my armies. I like fighting them because they're easy.

I also like playing Orks. They can be a pretty fun army to go up against.

I'd say foot guard are the most fun to play against, but because for every foot guard player there are 1,000 playing an aegis parking lot, I voted for orks.

It usually tends to be orks and bugs...because even when you're being tabled...you're still killing loads of models

Again, IG/Orks. With the former killing the light infantry is satisfying, killing the heavy tanks is considerably harder than against most opponent's but more satisfying when you do pull it off.

With the latter, there's almost nothing you you'll be stretched to kill, there's just a lot of it to kill and lot of it to decide between killing.

That, and aside from the Vendetta (which isn't a Riptide by any stretch) both Codexes are very well balanced compared to playing Necrons, Grey Knights, Tau or Eldar where everyone tends to take a selection of the most broken, undercosted, difficult to kill units and items that suck the fun out of the game.

Kind of avoiding the question by saying i don't what army you have if i know i can trust you with to extent that if i forget to fire that one weapon you go out of your way to remind me, at your chances of winnings peril, your a great person to play against.

Also not a fan of WAAC lists in friendly settings....

Imperial Guard vs. Imperial Guard is probably my favorite, to be honest. There's actually a decent chance of the guns doing something!

Tau actually for me, because I can feel the cinematic panic as 3 dreadknights and a ghostly terminator squad appear next to them turn 1. Yep, CC is gonna happen a little earlier than the ethereals thought.

Loyalist scum, indeed.

The army that feels less immersion-breaking to fight, statwise and rulewise and all.

Gotta jump on the spiky bandwagon and say:

Loyalist scum!

Necrons are annoying with the You-Killed-Six-Of-Em-But-Five-Get-Up-Next-Turn time and again, and I struggle against all the TMCs of my best friend. I'd love to play against IG, Orks and Eldar (thanks for creating Slaanesh )

On moon miranda.

Orks.

I can't recall a game against Orks that I didn't have fun in, win or lose.

Meanwhile, I can't recall a game I've ever had against Blood Angels that was fun, win or lose.

Voted orks. Secondarily, any army (or list) that does not largely ignore power armor in large quantities. Really makes the game feel like an up-hill struggle before it even starts when those show up.

This exactly.

I've taught about 5 people the game over the last 12 months or so, and I always reminded them what they were missing (little things like challenges to reduce wounds to KlawNobs or firing X thing as a SnapShot, ect ect) and once they build up the knowledge they do the same for me. It's really great. I wish everybody did that.

Also with you on point 2. Never had it happen though, cause all my friendly players are just that, friendly.

On topic though, anything except Marines. I got... way too many marine players around me. Wahahahaaay too many.
