We need a Battletech Anti Missile System configured for this stuff....

To be fair, it's 4chan itself pushing something to far that causes it to leak.

I browse /tg/ and /mlp/ mainly.

How on earth do you browse /mlp/ without your head exploding? That place is even worse than /b/ sometimes.

It makes Doge look like Shakespeare by comparison.

Although you do have a point about memes coming from there. Reddit and 4chan tend to spawn these things constantly thanks to the nature of imageboards combining funny pictures with stupid post content.

That said, /tg/ can be fun if you know what to look for. They have a surprisingly helpful Flames of War group for example, and the painting threads tend to be a good source for critique, since they really don't care who you are and will be as brutal as necessary to point out issues. /tg/ is also the origin of many of the 40k memes we take for granted, like CREEEEEEEEED! and the Angry Marines.

I can't really say what /mlp/ generals I browse because, well a mod here might ban me in disgust

"The Imperium is nothing if not willing to go to any lengths necessary. So the Trekkies are zipping around at warp speed taking small chucks out of an nigh-on infinite amount of ships, with the Imperium being unable to strike back. feth it, says central command, and detonates every vortex warhead in the fleet, plunging the entire sector into the Warp. Enjoy tentacle-rape, Kirk, we know Sulu will." -Terminus

"This great fortress was a gift to the Blood Ravens from the legendary Imperial Fists. When asked about it Chapter Master Pugh was reported to say: "THEY TOOK WHAT!?""

As a fa/tg/uy myself I can attest to the helpfulness of the community there. The P&M threads are great because like Mous said, they are brutally honest in their opinions of your work. The drawthreads are also good. Some of the anons there are quite talented and are more then happy to take requests.
4chan can be a very rough around the edges, some boards more then others, but for the most part its' a fine website with an excellent community.

I agree, 4Chan isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Well, some of the boards are in truth, hellish nightmares. /tg /fit are decent enough boards most of the time.

The answer lies in this. "People on /mlp/ have taken to calling themselves Horse 'rs in protest of the wide use of the word brony and the negative association with it, people who post about /mlp/ being a brony board will be often met with scorn. It is strange however, as the creators of My Little Pony browse /mlp/ and a do not seem to find it odd being in a group that labels themselves Horse r's in protest. This a good example of a group owning a word, and then making it non offensive, however the sheer glee Nor/mlp/eople have when admitted that yes they are a Horse 'r calls some things into question..."

I honestly couldn't tell you who came up with fa/tg/uy. It wasn't me though. I've been on /tg/ for about 3, maybe 4 years or so now and it's been used.
Others are elegna/tg/entlemen, ca/tg/irls. There a few more but I can't remember at the moment.

Other boards have /b/tards, /g/urus, /k/ommandos, /v/irgins

The biggest thing I have done /tg/ wise is I did a lot with the 4craft /tg/ group.

Ah...the good times, the hostile take overs, that one version were we conquered other board's islands and spread communism across 4craft...

This funnest time is when we allied with /mlp/ to save ourselves from /v/, we could never shake the stigma of being "Horse effers" after that but we still won in the end because of it, so go figure

Yeah it's intentional.

Of course, for those reading, don't take what we're saying as free reign to go over there with nary a care. Like all of 4chan, it's got its share of... unique members. Remember, no board on 4chan is worksafe, no matter how much it tries to convince you otherwise.

We're kind of getting off topic though. 4chan is it's own special Eye of Ter- er I mean wonderful website with nothing weird on it. Not to mention we're all kind of breaking Rules 1 and 2. All I'll say is that when it works, it works really well. But when it doesn't, well, you get /mlp/ (or if you REALLY drop the ball /pol/). That's why we set up containment boards though

On the subject of Doge specifically, it'll probably die out in due time, to be replaced by the next equally odd meme. Thus the circle of life continues. After a month or two, everyone will be sick of it, and 4chan will have already found a new meme to start posting around.

I don't think you under stand how much /mlp/ loves horses.

to wit, it is it the fault of any board to be passionate about it's chosen subject matter?

And well, Lauren Faust browses /mlp/, and shes has been quite enthusiastic about how much she stands with /mlp/ in loving horses

Daedalus think of /mlp/ like an Iphone, no matter what you desire that is pony related. There's a thread for that.

For your health I recommend not going to mlpchan, because well, yknow....

That reminds me I need to take mlpchan off my bookmark tab.
