Subject: Doge speak. Such explain. Much linguist. Wow.
Being possessed of a 14 year old daughter, much of my family interaction consists of being shown pictures of "cute" dogs with semi-random phrases splattered over them. When not looking at these pictures, the same phrases are used in speech, for example if I am driving her to someone's birthday party.
Fortunately this phenomenon has a linguistic explanation.

I see your daughter understands the greatness of canines, nature's perfect animal.

I have only ever Doge once.
When the MWO meme thread refused my initial challenge on the basis that it was not in meme form.
I, and my laptop, felt unclean for a week.

It's really amazing how all humans have exactly the same opinions, preferences, and tastes. I've never met anyone who didn't love Tyler Perry as much as me!

I don't know who that is.
And okay, maybe it was funny to some people. All I know is it got really annoying really fast.

The visual part of the "doge" meme is very important. A large part of he humor comes from the funny looks the dogs have, mixed with their incorrect grammar. It might not be funny to everyone, but pets doing funny things tends to get laughter, and silly things like incorrect grammar can heighten it.
Simply speaking like "doge" does, or in "doge" speak can be funny to the right people, but not nearly as much as the visual component.

Word of warning, Top kek, kek, and lel are starting to leak so get ready for a storm of people using all kinds of dumb things in place of lol.

To be fair, it's 4chan itself pushing something to far that causes it to leak.
I browse /tg/ and /mlp/ mainly.

Kek has been around for years; it's what Alliance players see when a Horde player types 'lol' in their version of common on WoW.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

This kek ain't your dad's kek as it were
It comes from a trend that started on 4chan were foreign posters would say kek or kekonnen instead of lol. Similar to how a Russian might post ")))))))" instead of ":"

It's older than you know. Kek originally comes from Starcraft. Starcraft did not fully support Korean so when Korean players attempted to type "lolololol" it would be translated as "kekeke." Blizzard was apparently amused by the amount of rage caused by "kekeke" and someone along the line made the Orcish "lol" translate into "kek."

How on earth do you browse /mlp/ without your head exploding? That place is even worse than /b/ sometimes.
It makes Doge look like Shakespeare by comparison.
Although you do have a point about memes coming from there. Reddit and 4chan tend to spawn these things constantly thanks to the nature of imageboards combining funny pictures with stupid post content.
That said, /tg/ can be fun if you know what to look for. They have a surprisingly helpful Flames of War group for example, and the painting threads tend to be a good source for critique, since they really don't care who you are and will be as brutal as necessary to point out issues. /tg/ is also the origin of many of the 40k memes we take for granted, like CREEEEEEEEED! and the Angry Marines.
