Looky Likey

I work in the field so take it from me that is pretty bad.

Thing with responsive is that it should scale up the page for really high res monitors not just scale down for small devices like iPhones. Plus you should be tweaking the amount of content and basic layout dependant on the device type (phone, smartphone, tablet, pc, very high res pc), so there is no excuse for all that white space.

The actual layout itself is poor as well, the demarcation between sections looks off centre and not very clear. The carousel is a pretty dated concept and this one is too dominating for the page anyway. Don't get me started on the floating basket, that is just awful.

This looks like it was designed by a board member's nephew who once saw a magazine on design in WHSmiths but didn't even pick it up much less read it.

The first (and only, really) thing I was looking for on that page...

I'm skeptical at best, with three weeks left until the rumored launch of the new site, I reckon there will still be tweaks to the site.

Sadly I see no forgeworld either, however if they were to add forgeworld on to their main site, my guess that it would be rolled into each army catergory, for example all FW space marine models with the space marine section and so on. Kinda makes a bit to much sense so GW probably wouldn't even think about doing it

Aye, I'm still doubting the FW/GW site merge, but if it was to happen my assumption has always been they'd just merge the army lists completely.

Would seem pointless to have a Forgewold subsection on the main site, might as well keep it separate in that case.

You're quite confident of that, aren't you?

Ever looked through a Forge World catalogue. Those booklets have regional pricing. Up until this point those pricing discrepancies have been meaningless because everything came from the one site. But with a merged FW/GW site I fear those pricing differences will become real. I'd like to be wrong, and I'm still dubious about FW merging with GW, but that's a fear - that FW items will jump 75%-100% in price for no reason other than the flag you choose when you go to the site.

I *think* (could be wrong) Yodhrin meant you'd be rejoicing since the images show no FW link, suggesting FW's web store isn't being rolled into GW's and thus the status quo will likely be maintained.
