At the speeds he's going, that guard's pelvis has been obliterated. It's the death wedgie.

Yes Fox, we know. You have Quicksilver in your film. We get it. No one cares. Avengers 2 will still beat you, Quicksilver or no. Let it go.

I thought they were going with the dark/broody "sentinels destroyed the future so we have to go back Logan" angle with this film? That Quicksilver teaser barely resembles anything else they've put out.

On one hand, I'm not a big Marvel or X-men fan, and Wolviesue can go die in a hole. On the other, First Class was really good, and the cast looks fantastic.

Cast-wise this has one of the highest powered casts ever based awards and such. It destroys the cast of Avengers. However those people can only work with what they're given. I'm excited for this but I LOVED First Class so I'm hoping it holds the quality of that one.

Agreed. The cast is utterly stellar, and barring Last Stand there hasn't been a bad X-film. First Class and The wolverine were completely awesome. so hopefully they can continue that. Based on the budget, cast, scale and the quality of the last 2 films, I can see this equalling (or dare I say it, bettering) The Avengers. It should be completely epic.

(for the record, I consider The Avengers a 10/10 film)

I must e one of the few who disliked The Wolverine. It was horrible. I couldn't tell one character apart from another and wolverine gets beaten by ninjas?

X-men Origins: Wolverine sucked a bag of dicks, but X-Men 1 and 2 are great and 3 is OK. First Class was good as well but the effects look cheap at times.

One, two and First Class were awesome. Three and Origins were bad movies, and you should be ashamed of yourself if you enjoyed them. Even Spider-Man 3, for its faults, was 1000x better than both of those (and I'm more an X-Men fan than a Spider-Man fan). I love the fact that they have a few nods to the classics in this: Storm about to be stabbed to death in the trailer (comic accurate), Blink and Bishop showing up (Wolverine and the X-Men, Xavier's future team), and a cast that's out of this world. I've always disliked Bolivar Trask, and I think PD is going to rock the character. Very impressed with him, especially the transition between GoT and Knights of Badassdom. He's got many layers (like an ogre).

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

X-Men 3 isn't as horrible as people make it out to be it's just a mediocre film, as far as superhero movies go you can do a lot worst.

I liked Origins simply because, if you remove the 3 lines in which Wade/Deadpool is referred to by name, and just pretend he's not that character, the rest of the film is good. The Wolverine-Sabertooth aspect is played well by Jackman and Schrieber, and I liked how they handled Gambit.

Three is mediocre, but I don't recall it being that painfully bad. Then again, I haven't watched it in years.

The reason X-Men: Wolverine Origins didn't work for me is we had a nearly invincible main character which kills a lot of the tension in an action movie as there's no sense of danger or threat. Also who Framed Roger Rabbit cartoon claws, chopping down a metal ladder like the Looney

Tunes Tasmanian Devil, dated special effects, etc didn't help either.

Xmen 3 was bad. The things that really stood out for me - Magneto lifts the Golden Gate Bridge out to alcatraz, and instead of simply going another 300 yards and dropping said bridge on top of leech he dismissively sends waves of mutants forward to be humanized. "Pawns go first." my ass.

And the whole Phoenix thing - she straight up murders her husband and her mentor, but Wolverine ... he can slowly walk up to her and stab her because.... stuff.

because his natural healing ability repaired the damage to his body as quickly as Phoenix could inflict it.

Except his power isn't actually that strong, and when the 80s saw "what if dark Phoenix didnt die", she threw wolverine into a pit of fire and killed him. He shouldn't have been alive, but plot armor. And in W:Origins, Wade Wilson pre-Weapon X treatment =/= Deadpool. The two have VERY different attitudes. He didnt start as a clown-he started a very serious person, no sense of humor. The people making the movie didnt have a clue who the character was, and made an abortion out of him. I've been a fan of Deadpool since he was created in 91, been reading him since his first full length series (not the 4-book mini arc), and the person from the movie wasn't Wade Wilson or Deadpool-they just used his name because he's popular now. I've tried reading new Deadpool comics, and they're bad, because he suffered the same trap as wolverine: got popular and thrown into everything, so he had multiple writers who didnt "get" him. As such you wind up with abominations like what hit the screen. And yes, the graphics for wolverine were gak, the story was gak, gambit was gak, wraith was gak, the magic bullet was gak, maverick was gak, and the only thing that wasn't gak was the relationship between wolverine and sabertooth, because both actors are amazing. I feel bad for Reynolds, because he's also an awesome actor (one of my favorites), because he loves the character and had to deal with the writers making a piece of gak.

And yes, I typed out SH** for all of that, not putting "gak". I HATED wolverine origins.
