Still battling this last bug - my apologies for the annoyance. It will likely have two more 'cycles' until I can fix it as I am progressively adding more debug output to track it down.

I'm hoping to have it squashed by Wednesday at the very least.

gohkm, it will be a proxy server at your ISP that is out of your control. It should settle down soon but is out of our control too.

The first unread glitch has been around for ages, I recall you saying it was only impacting people that were constantly logged in on multiple devices.

I log in on my desktop and ipad all the time and I've never seen it before. Or if I did, I wrote it off as a glitch in the matrix.

This is insane. I understand software bugs (my job wouldn't exist without them) but it's frustrating. Note that I'm not complaining about a free service - you do an awesome job here lego.

I've found the source of the bug now, just have to identify the last elements of the cause and then squash it - probably another 36 hours or so.

I seem to get the "dakka is down" page whenever I try and go into threads I have started.

I've been having the Unread post thing as well, and just now something extremely funky happened.

When I posted my post, it was immediately following what is now the last post. As you can see in the screenshot even the timestamps have gotten messed up.

EDIT: To be more specific, the last post in the screenshot has shifted. It should be immediately before my post, with an appropriate timestamp. The main forum is showing Alex as the last poster in the thread, which should be right as far as I can tell.

Thanks for the notification. I changed some timezone settings in the backend which might lead to some odd forum placement for the next 2 hours, but it should resolve pretty soon. If it continues then I have another bug to debug! I'm going to get some sleep now and will continue testing in the morning. Sorry for any annoyance in the meantime!

Looks like things are working normally and the posting bug is fixed. Few more tweaks to make on the backend but we are almost there!

For some reason only the subscribed threads page says down for maintenance. Everything else works fine.
Edit: Never mind, works now.
