As much as the show had faltered in quality over Seasons 4 and 5, it was a show that got cut off before it could do a proper end, leading to an appalling (and appallingly rushed) finale. That show needed one more season to wrap everything up.

Stargate Universe
I liked SGU's finale, but again it was a show cut off too early before it could tell its story. An extra season would've let them wrap everything up.

I agree. Although I think that tends to be a problem with a lot of shows which run for a while and then get cut off. The writers get into a mode where they aren't anticipating an ending any time soon so they write longer plot arcs and then when the end draws nigh they have to rush and finish it unsatisfactorily.

Stargate Atlantis also had so much potential.

And it started so well. I can't remember the last series I saw that hit the ground running quite as fast as SGA. It had the opposite trajectory to most TV shows - starting big and then slowing over time, rather than the other way around.

Atlantis had two movies that started production--but since MGM has basically been in its death throes for almost 3 years now, they vanished.

SGU just couldn't be justified for anymore...and that irked me greatly.

Clone Wars:
Cancelled for no good reason and whilst in production for season 6 and 7, Clone Wars got a final batch of episodes that, whilst good, failed to answer many of the questions fans had: What happens to Ashoka? What becomes of Rex? What about Maul and the plans Palpatine had for him? What about Ventress? And instead we get Rebels, a show no one asked for in place of a show that everyone loved.

There's something about being a Disney Cartoon that must give you a short shelf life.

Clone Wars was actually done before Lucasfilm was bought by Disney. That's about all I know in regards to that situation.

There were two movies, but only one of them was an SGA movie. The other was a third SG-1 movie. And neither had started production. Stargate Atlantis: Extinction only got as far as the script sage, and neither film were green lit. Brad Wright eventually came out with a statement saying Stargate, as done by them, was finished.

It most certainly wasn't. They said they had started production on a 7th Season (let alone the upcoming 6th) and were still working on episodes with their animators when the order came down.

Farscape should have been allowed at least 2 more series.

Babylon 5, I would love to have seen series 4 and 5 as they were meant to be, without JMS being told they were finishing in series 4, rushing to close out the big war in series 4 and then finding himself with a series 5 in which to twiddle his thumbs. He could have had his 'scouring the shire' earth war in series 6.

Deadwood... poor, amazing Deadwood. Taken from us far too soon.

One of my guilty pleasures... Dark Angel. I wish they'd developed the near future cyberpunk aspects more and expanded the world more in a 3rd series.

You hear that? That's the sound of everyone on the internet turning their collective heads around and giving you a death stare.

I'm on E4 of Firefly and still can't see why everyone loves it; it's okay, but it's pretty much worshipped on the internet and I don't know why.

Although I must admit that Nathan Fillion is a ruggedly handsome man, and I would not say no - although neither would I say yes, I'd probably just mumble something incoherent and start ripping my clothes off.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I would have liked to have seen B5 with the same number of overall seasons but where Michael J Straczynski had actually know earlier that he was getting his 5th season. That way we could have seen the story properly paced as originally intended as opposed to the rushed 4th and bolted on 5th seasons we actually got.

*EDIT* Ah I see MeanGreenStompa beat me to it with this request.

I wouldn't say it was horrible; it's just not anywhere near as good as the fans make it out to be. It's a solidly okay show. Not great like Babylon 5, but not pants on head like Terra Nova, either.

I wouldn't want to see another season of B5... season 5 was JMS spinning his wheels because he'd used up all his ideas for season 5 during season 4 (when he thought he was getting cancelled). I would like to see another season of Farscape, though. The TV movie wasn't satisfying enough for me.

I'd be interested in seeing another season of Star Trek Enterprise. The show never got off the ground, really. Executive meddling caused so many problems, the writing was spotty (as with all new Trek shows before they find their legs) but the cast was likeable and the idea had potential. I'm not a big Trek booster, but I'd actually like to see what the creators of that show could do with one season free from worry about ratings or sponsors or the studio.

But more than anything else, I'd love, love, LOVE to see another season of Brimstone. I would fund all of the kickstarter for that.

I'd burned out by the end of series 2, but knowing what happened next would have been good.

Since movies have run out of ideas and it's reboots-galore, just wait for more 'BSG' of old series.

Oh no. No no no no. They tried this, remember? Ving Rhaimes as Kojak? I can understand if you've blacked it out of your memory, but they tried it. Telly Savalas is dead. It's time to let go.

Carnivale would be a good choice for the "one more season". It would have allowed everything to wrap up.

I'm going to have to say tour of duty would be my pick. I watched an episode 2 days ago (thank you sisters pay TV!) and was surprised that it wasn't rerrible. In fact it was quite good. The best revisit to childhood TV I have ever made.

I'm going rogue. I'd have really liked to see another season of Kings. I really would have liked to see where they went with it.

Firefly or Carnivale would have been good, too.
