Just got the standard email of update gw products so I guess they're not stopping anytime soon.

Did you actually look at it? It wasn't the standard email of updated GW products. It was an extra points sale promotion on a list of certain products. I think whoever sent it just forgot to change the standard header. And it seems like every GW product they have is on the list with 5x-10x the usual bonus points (i.e. an extra 5-10% off).

I'd say they're starting to clear their GW stock.

Yeah I noticed that now it also lists what's in stock which they didn't before. Guess they are cutting the cord.

THAT explains the 40% of WM/Hordes sale.

I was wondering if it was something like that. I mean - they're building up tons of new customers and luring customers away from other stores that offer Warmahordes at a discount.

I bought a giant Circle and Menoth army due to that sale and have really enjoyed the games I've played over the last few weeks. So, it worked!

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... I don't know if they did before, but on the page where you sign up for their newletter they do not have an option for Warhammer news there along side the options for Warmachine, Malifaix, ect.

Yup. I didn't plan on adding Trollbloods to my stable of factions...

I feel like there needs to be a support group for this sale...

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

lol - it's over now. ( I too "suffered" and bought both 2p starter boxes). But I noticed they upped their standard discount from 25% to 30%. So they're definitely the best place to buy WM?Hordes from in the states now.

It was a pretty smart move overall I think, but I bet it cost them a pretty penny.

It cost them a little profit in the short term but gained a ton of long term customers. Myself and 2 others got into WMH because of it instead of starting new 40k armies.

If anyone else is in Canada, I recommend both Discount Games Store and Discount Games Inc. They also do 30% but with lower shipping to Canada than MM. If you're inside the US though, or are putting in a large order, then MM is great.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

I'd argue discountgamesinc.com, which also does a standard 30% discount on Warmachine/Hordes is better if you're not buying other items as well. Mostly because I only have to spend $50.00 to hit the free shipping threshold. They're also big time supporters of the WM/H community through more than just cheap sales.
