1. Tyranid Primes can take Wings changing their unit type to Jump Infantry (Character).
2. Hive Tyrants upgrade for a 2+ Armour and/or 5+ Invuln.
3. Either fix the got-dang IB tables or go back to 4th ed where Synapse gave Eternal Warrior. I don't know how many times I've lost games due to IB.

I'm sure others have more ideas.

And about nerfing the overpowered stuff?

I will just leave this here from earlier in the thread:

- Priests should probably cost 35 points, fearless and zealot and war hymns added to any unit in the army is a bit too cheap at 25 points.
- Pask should probably cost a bit more, maybe 50 points.

UP:
- price bullgryns like orgryns, remove ogryns
- wyrdvane psyker squad, give them options for carapace armor and melta bombs
- tech priest enginseer, make him 30 points. 40 points for potms and a 1/3 chance to repair is awful.

CSM:

OP: I think the Heldrake was OP when it could shoot 360 after vector striking. Those issues have been resolved via FAQ and vector strike nerf. Now that we have Hell Blades, the expensive drake may not be spammed as much. I don'tthink the spell familiar is overpowered. Consider all the things we can't do as an army, and this seems like a fair trade. They are good, though. Other than that, I don't know. Be'lakor is very good but also 350 points. In smaller games this is a huge trade off.

UP: I have a soft spot for Berzerkers, so but I don't think they're underpowered. If the bulk of the upgrade costs in the codex were cheaper in terms of points, that would go a long way in buffing the army. Just 1-5 points here and there, it all adds up very quickly. I hate running things naked because the upgrades reduce the number of units on the board. I think every unit at their core is very cool, but it would also be nice to see a few special Chaosy rules that add a few neat buffs or abilities here and there.

More transport options that aren't goofy new flyers. And also, give Warp Talons assault grenades and let them assault after doing so. Tie it in with the Blind effect for fluff purposes. If they can slice a hole through the fabric of reality itself to deep strike onto the board, I don't think they would just stand there and eat some bullets for a minute. They're pricy, so a rule like this (at least the grenades) would be a nice buff.

No worse than other codex spam. A unit is not the problem when spamming them is the reason why people complain. The unit by itself is perfectly fine. Only when spamming them do they feel over powered. So no I don't think that flyrants are OP.

A single serpent doesn't seemed overpowered but when spammed becomes one of the nasty units.
(can be taken in truly high amounts that allow spamming to be immense.)
(this does not justify the waveserpent. Just putting why your reasoning was invalid)
(Serpents are slightly too powerful, but because they are not limit(dedicated transport) the real problem of having so many shows up)

Not really enough there to make my reasoning invalid. OP said a unit that is Overpowered. Wave Serpents for example are not OP based on stAts, but are because of how many you can take. I just don't think "spam" should be considered a focal point in determining if a unit is OP when "unit"describes one group of models and not a bunch of them....

Regardless I will be the first to admit I am being a little obtuse...in just don't think a Flyrant is OP anymore than. Wraith knight or a riptide. Spamming can make ANY
balanced unit OP.

Purgation Squads
+6 inches to range of the Psycannon, access to other heavy weapons such as Missile Launchers, Lascannons, etc. Also some shenanigan that makes them more adept with the weapons. Interceptor, ignores cover, and skyfire would all be possible candidates. This could also manifest (heh) itself as a unique psychic power, something like Astral Aim of the 5th ed codex.

Dreadnoughts
5 point reduction in base cost, and options that make them adept in the ranged support role they filled in 5th edition. Perhaps a Str 8 version of the autocannon, just as the psycannon is more or less a better assault cannon? May take a Daemon Hammer to give them a more productive outlet for their psychic powers. Finally, a method for delivery to the front other than a Storm Raven. Not too particular in this last regard.

And finally, something for more precise deep striking. The warlord trait is fine, but a re-rollable 1 in 6 chance is hardly reliable. Something of the feeling of Descent of Angels, seeing as the army really relies on Deep Striking, both in fluff and too a good extent on the table.

Underpowered: The infamous PYROVORE - since its birth it was destined to stay in the box to rot until recognition. I have 2 and even after 30 games with them, I see only one improvement, that would make them useful giving them the torrent special rule and making them into a hellhound, which they are supposed to be. No point adjustment, they die in the 2nd turn the latest anyway, but at least they can shoot ones or twice and make there points worth.

I disagree with your under powered choice as my Bloodcrushers have a habit of aceing space marine squads (Karanak's scout rule helps). They are pretty expensive but I think it's justified.

My picks:

OP: Flying Nurgle DP is pretty lame. Screamerstar requires good rolls and can't contest objectives as easily. Maybe force the Nurgle DPs to be unable to jink due to S&P. It makes sense to me, anyway.

UP: I wish Seekers of Slaanesh had more than 1 W and I wish Fiends of Slaanesh had Scout or were less expensive. I'll take the extra wound on Seekers first.

I'd also posit that Daemonic Instability is more harmful than helpful. Let me take my close combat Ld test without modifiers and I'll be happy with paper Seekers.

OP: Daemon Prince, MoN, Level 3 Psyker and wings. The thing can dish out a lot of damage and is very hard to hit. Taken in pairs, it's hard to kill both without a lot of firepower. Changes to the rules about for monstrous creatures with wings moving as jump infantry would make them less of a threat.

UP: Possessed. Most people claim the issue is with transports, I really think it's with points. They would be so much better if they cost 7 points less per model. They have no shooting, there's no way to justify them at these points.

underpowered:

belial, azreal, sammael: all of these are horrid duelists and need improved statlines somewhere to reflect this, we can start by stripping them of bane of the traitor on all their CC weapons and going from there, being able to buy a bike or teleport pack for azreal would be nice

asmodai: he need to have a better gimmick than "instant death ccw and fear", either drop him down to 120 points or upgrade his blades of reason to s+1, ap4. that would solve a lot of things wrong with asmodai and at least make him situationally useful

ezekiel: give him an invul save of some kind he need to be able to buy something, even a displacer field or refractor field would do wonders for him, make mind wurm not take up a spell slot for his mastery level

chaplain: cut him down to 75 points
company master: give him a free power sword

command squads:
drop the price for the sacred banners by 10 points each (5 points for the banner of retribution), the dwcs needs to be able to buy a full 10 man squad upgrde, or even 8 man max would be nice. 5 is way too small. fix the GD deathwing apothecary while your down there.

troops and dedicated transports: no change

elite:
veterans: let me buy jump packs GD it or a land raider as a dedicated

dreadnaught: allow us to upgrade to the chaplain dread without the need for IA2

deathwing terminators: price drop to 29ppm, dwk's to 33ppm, remove power swords from sargeants or let them swap it out finally

fast attack: price slash the dark talon to 120 points, slash the nephilim to 140 OR upgrade the blacksword missles to something much more fearsome like s7 ap2

reduce assault marines to 15 ppm they currently serve no purpose at all

heavy support:
reduce the lsv to 100 points

Eldar

Wave Serpent: If the model fires its Serpent Shield it may not jink until the start of the next Eldar turn.

Webway Portals: 50pts each, they take up a Heavy Support slot. Place a small blast marker on the field immediately after Infiltrators have been deployed and Scout moves made, scatter it 2d6" as if it were deploying by Deep Strike. If this would place it in impassible terrain or within 6" of an enemy model reduce the distance rolled by the minimum amount to avoid that situation. If an enemy model moves within 6" of a Webway Portal roll a d6, on a 1 or a 2 the portal is destroyed and is removed from play, on a 3+ immediately place it in another legal position and scatter it as if you were deploying it initially. At the beginning of the Eldar player's turn one Infantry unit currently in Reserves may automatically deploy without rolling, even if it is turn one, from each Webway Portal. These units treat the Webway Portal as the edge of the table and may assault that turn. (This is a long and complicated rule but it's intended to make Howling Banshees and Harlequins less useless without giving more toys to the units that don't need it)

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Dark Angels

Deathwing Terminators: Drop cost to 38ppm, upgrades' cost remains the same. May purchase two heavy weapons regardless of squad size. Units deploying by Deathwing Assault may reroll their scatter dice.

Nephilim Jetfighter: Increase the Avenger mega-bolter and the Blacksword missiles to S7/AP3. Reduce cost to 160pts.

Ravenwing Bike: Grants Skilled Rider (the change will apply to the Attack Squadron and characters that purchase Ravenwing Bikes, in case you're curious)

Blade of Caliban: If you're going to make the damn thing Unwieldy at least make it AP2.

Belial: T5. Models with the Inner Circle rule in base contact with him have T5, this doesn't stack with Fortress of Shields.

Power Field Generator: Change it back to the non-silly errataed version. If you're in a vehicle nothing happens. Good day, sir.
