I am pretty sure I won't be able to keep up this rate for the rest of the year. I'm off to university in Spetember, so the last Quater is pretty much minimal hobbby activity (I am determined to keep going, but it will be much, much slower). Still, if I can hit 300 by the middle of the year (pretty possible) then I will certainly push for 500!

This is why I should just back some Kickstarters, and have waves of minis turn up every few months.

With the rate that you paint, kickstarter probably isn't a bad idea for you. Some people get buried under hoarder-tier piles of plastic and buyers remorse... but I think you could handle it

It'll end tomorrow, I'm interested to see which one comes out on top, it's much closer than it looked like it was going to be this time yesterday.

@OMN: Ah, wouldn't to force that on you! The horror! Nah, anything that could possibly construed as a combination of 'Marine' and In 'Space' is fine. In other words, if GW would try to sue you for it, then it's ok to enter!

In hindsight, I wish I'd voted Veteran instead of Space Marine. I could twist an old Azhag the Slaughterer model into veteran.

And Marine has taken the lead yet again! Oh, exciting. I'm guessing this poll ends in 9 hours?

Ok, the Poll should now if I set it up right. And the winner is, to the surprise of... no one, really, Space Marines! 'Veteran' takes second place, so will be one of the options for the next month's challenge.

spacemarines it is. got a couple of terminators crying to be painted. justa we idea- but next time - rather than being so (obv) imperium biased in the poll, maybe making the poll faction wide

Well, only the one option was 'biased', the rest could have really applied to anything. I put SM in just because they are popular and accessible for a lot of people, and can also cover a lot of stuff. In general, though, I think I'll break it down like this in future:

Category 1: Troop Type, so 'leader', 'grunt', 'elite' ect.
Category 2: Theme. Stuff like 'Duty,' 'Honour' or 'Trapped'
Category 3: Technique: Include some NMM, Weathering, or just try something new
Category 4: Wild Card. just something wacky and pretty open to interpretation ..

dont get me wrong - i do love SM. even SM haters do have have a love for the Emperor's sons.....seriously whats not to love when it come to brush, paint, imagination.? i've been away from it all for 10+ years adn just getting back into it so I'm happy to paInt ANYTHING!!!!!

Hey, I know we haven't even completed the March competition yet, but wondered when the April subject poll will go up. My suggestions would be (based on your previously posted suggestions):
Category 1: Troop Type - Sniper
Category 2: Theme - Blasphemy
Category 3: Technique - Something new
Category 4: Wildcard - Lava, lots and lots of lava

The April subject poll will go up over the weekend (in a new thread), and will run for 2 days like this one did, so it should start around Saturday morning assuming I remember! Thanks for all the suggestions so far, I'll try and make sure there's plenty of variety!
