If you say so!
FYI...if you're talking about UX-type jobs, you're going to need to do some significant broadening from sociology......

Ahhh, there's your tried and true fall back! Brilliant, sir!
It isn't useless. It's just a terrible field to go into for any sort of reasonable ROI when it comes to your university expenditure.
Mmmkay?
Just because these jobs exist doesn't mean they exist in large numbers. They'll exist for exceptional people in the field. And no offense, but I don't get the impression that you share a ton in common with Dr. Bell or her team. Like I said, if you're going to look into UX research and design (a more prevalent form of this job) you're going to need to do some significant learning in the actual tech that those companies utilize: Photoshop, Sketch, Flash...etc.
If you have those skill sets, you're probably better served looking to work in digital design for something like Incredibles 2.

It isn't an argument, it's truth, you have constantly insulted sociology and called it useless.

What does truth possess? I'm confused by your comment.
But seriously, as per usual, (see: Rand, Ayn commentary earlier in this thread) you're wrong.
You'll figure out the difference between "useless" and "poor ROI" eventually. Maybe in a finance class?

I know what it is. I just don't think it is a poor Roi because I love it and I'm going to be doing what I love for a living.

Oh, that's cute and cuddly!
Doesn't make the ROI any better. So, you know, you're wrong again.
But by all means....if you're able to land one of those few jobs and you're not working at a Del Taco cursing the fact that you've got significant student debt (especially if you think you're going to get an MA or MS!), you can come find me and I'll buy you a whole case of Pliny.

so, just because the salary is low (which is brought down by it often being a very impacted major) means it's obvious I'm going to be poor? Or I should go study something and do something I hate with my life? Also, I'm going to be coming ahead with my dept, I will be making 5000$ when I pay it off.

But seriously.
1. I'm still not entirely convinced you understand what ROI means or how it functions.
2. "Brought down by it often being a very impacted major"? Like, impacted stool?
3. Low Salary --> Need to pay bills --> Inability to Invest = poor. Not exactly the transitive property....but you get the picture.
4. "Coming ahead with my dept?" I'll assume that was supposed to be "debt." Regardless, if you're coming "ahead" it's not debt. If you're "making money" from you student loans, then that's a significant problem, IMO.
... do something I hate with my life?
Well no, no one is saying that at all. My wife is a teacher. I taught for five years. Doesn't mean the ROI wasn't gakky. No one wants to be Bob Parr here:
But again, happiness has little bearing on the ROI of a sociology degree.

No, I have roughly 20000 saved up, and when I'm done my loans will be 14500. So I will be about 5000.
y'know I'm done, I love sociology, everyday I go to class with joy. I don't like stem, it's boring and I hate it. But I love i
Sociology, I I'm not going to let someone come in and belittle my choices and make me question them again.

Your right, we should keep this OT.
I'm excited. I hope they do something like, I'd violet is in college, dash in highschool. Maybe make it set in the year it premiered.
Anyone wondering if the only reason they are doing this is the popularity of super hero movies?

May I ask why Frozen? Anyone I talk to raves about it.

Bolt was a solid movie, too.
But topic: stay on it.
I'm very sad we could have had Brad Bird on SWVII, and got JJ instead.
