Technically men do this better too. Unless you wanted the most flexible Space Marines in the world.
Female Space Marines would probably be better suited to giving birth to baby Space Marines. They can have a wet nurse caste and a birthing caste. While they do this they can assemble grenades for maximum efficiency. Then you have SM birthing, grenade making section which eliminates whatever process is needed for Marines currently.
Plus it's GW style gridmark.
Is gernade making happening at the same time as child-birthing? Id give medals to that person...

Why would they go into combat? The thing they do best is make SM and grenades. Sending them to combat would be wasteful. Especially with a 12 day gestation period.
So who gets them preggers? the chapter master? Or does it just happen...
The Emperors excrement goes into tubes which then gets eaten by cherubs and the pooped again which then goes into a special factory which (info classified) and then showers the Momstartes once every 12 days.
So the Emps would become a glorified pimp? Fits his backstory well doesnt it?

Here is the result of my experiments so far. See the momarine has ceremonial shoulder pads for the 2 minute old astartes first drink. Already, at this vital stage in development the baby startes is 192 times stronger than the average human. Right now he is ensuring his calf muscles can handle the jandle. The momarine has a lot of hair as a result of the momarineication. See for yourself.
