This thread has single-handedly made me want to start a Slaanesh army. I'm not sure if I should love you or hate you SonofSigvald. Fantastic conversion work and paint jobs all around but that Chaos lord is... ah hell it fits here: FABULOUS!

I dont know about a full army, there isn't much to work with just yet because Slannesh lacks a lot of models, which is why I have a lot of slaves to darkness and extra units. I will probably add some skaven units for ranged attacks. Many willingly become slaves to the glory that is Sigvald the Magnificent, and therefore I still consider it fluffy to include any GA: Chaos units in the army.

The current Mounted Lord of Slaanesh is still metal so I decided to make my own out of the Bloodwrack Medusa and chaos parts.

This blog is fantastic! Those mirror-bearers are so smart, and its nice to see all of the new AoS Khorne stuff being used for some of the less (read as: never) represented gods of Chaos!

I didn't realise GW had gone full Squats on Slaanesh. I guess that comes part and parcel with catering to a younger audience?

One of my favourite things about AoS is that grand alliances give your army access to units it didn't have before. I've always wanted more artillery choices in a chaos army and thanks to AoS I now have them:
Plague claw conversion:

*During a battle with filthy disgusting ratmen, one warlock had the pleasure of being skewered by Sigvald himself with Slverslash. As the rat lay there dying, mysteriously and for unknown reasons, his wound slowly healed and his fur turned Golden and silky smooth, as if each strand of hair was a thread of gold. He is now "The Golden Rat" - The most handsome of all skaven (if such a thing is possible), leading his followers (the crew of the above artillery) and he serves his new master tirelessly with his great projectile weapons.
This counts as a Hellcannon or a warp lightning cannon or a skull cannon:

Fantastic work, as always! I've been working on a Slaaneshi Lord on Daemonic mount myself, although I used one of the Exalted Chariot's steeds instead - can't wait to see yours finished!

What's your approach to painting gold, SonofSigvald? The armour on the boobwyrm Lord is particularly shiny.

Slaneesh is definitely one of the least common chaos armies, it's amazing to see such a diverse army all well linked with fluff! Keep it up!

Its just retributor armour, recess shade the edges and low areas with reikland flesh shade, then layer auric armor gold on the raised parts, and runefang steel or a 1:1 mix of auric and runefang to do a very small highlight on the gold edges.

Chaos Manticore lord is done. I like when riders have long enough weapons to actually be useful while on a mount, so I gave him the lance from the zombie dragon.

I use both and sometimes gray.
For whites over a black primer, just put some grey down first before the white and it will come out fine. Might need a few layers though.

Actually I think the army is mostly done because I have everything I want, unless something new comes out in the future.
I have always liked beastmen though so I may pick up some gore or a gorgon to paint and ally in if I ever wanted to.
I don't really have a desire to collect any order, destruction or death armies.
