I have switched purely to trains or buses for my travel because of the TSA I found that I tend to get there the same time. And its more enjoyable, not paying extra for internet. the seats are comfortable. I can stand up. and if I need fresh air, I can leave the train during the stop. The only thing is that itdoesnt go everywhere. when I go to disneyland it is.... 6hour train ride 2hour bus 45minute train.

If we're going to get rid of the TSA, and we should, we need to get rid of the No Fly List too. Having both is even dumber than having either. If you've already compiled a list of allegedly dangerous people that aren't allowed on commercial airlines (although they can still use any other method of public or private transit) then why do you need the TSA? And if you're going to have the TSA and they're supposedly a worthwhile agency then you don't need a No Fly List because TSA exists to keep dangerous people and things from boarding the planes.
The whole process is a monument to politicized incompetence. We have the 9/11 Commission but then we censor the document and don't both following the proposed actions and instead have demonstrably ineffective fake security.

TSA was just an extreme reaction to 9/11 that everyone knew was political theater at the time. however, once you create something like the TSA it is really hard to reel it back. Do you want to be the politician that cost that many people their jobs?

Yes. I'll be the champion of reducing government spending and getting people to their planes on time!
That will offset the workforce reduction take, I think.

I remember being at Raleigh–Durham International Airport for a couple of months pulling security duty and over watch at the security check in point. Total. Goat. Rope. So glad when vision of US Military being armed in airports took was beginning to have negative view and TSA stepped in officially to take over.
