Lectures started and having to get gak done in medical physics makes free time almost null :(

I'll be tring to paint a bit in the next days I hope :(

I got offered a Skitarii start collecting + Sydonian dragon for the price of the Start Collecting. Would that a nice allied detachment to add to my Dark Angels?

Refused to take those I've now shipped my Wolves to be painted by a friend of mine.

Those lectures are really, really taking all my time but I hope, once the timetables are fixed, to be able to start again (I have a fresh multicomponent tactical squad to build and plan! )

During this weekend I made a little light box and I tried to learn a bit about photography but I failed at both.

I also tried to highlight a new marine but it ended badly since I didn't have the colors for it and tried by just mixing Caliban Green + Bone White (Vallejo): it was way more dense then it needed to be and the color was more of a "salvia".

I made an order with a friend of mine and I'm now waiting for some layer colors
Also the marine part of prospero just came so I've no more time to waste on not learning on how to paint, my Alphas need to be done!

I did a bit of work and tried getting better at photos, I got the basics but I yet to do a lot of work before knowing how to properly shoot

I made another Plasma and find probably a nice setting to make photos, I also managed to decolour some veterans I bought via market. (failed only for a backpack)

Today I tried a bit of highlighting but with no sucess, the medium step went quite null and the edge one too thick, I like though the colours and I'll stick with these improving my traits

Thank you, I decided I'll be using moot green to paint the edges of the Power Armour and later on for highlighting too, I like the contrast it gives to the way darker Caliban green although I'm not that precise so I'll be making that adjustment later on.
Yesterday I was bored of painting static PA so I decided to change a bit the pose with some bits I owned, I used a shoulder with a paper on it to kinda remember the fallen, changed the head as well; the next one will have instead changed the pose of the plasma pistol's arm.

During the last month I didn't paint much (as always) but I kinda had an idea on the theme of the army: since I own a small force of Space Wolves I decided that my Dark Angels would have been "close and friends" to the SW even if the relationship between the two chapters isn't the best.
For this I decided to give a veteran a thunder hammer from the SW's bits, also I placed half of a zombie wolf from Vampire Counts as an allied wolf dead to save the dreadnought Vicarius.

I really need to get a brown, I tried a green+yellow mix but it's really really bad on the hammer, also I didn't finish any of the two models I started but I'm going in the next days to shade and highlight

Kinda bored of painting DA I tried a bit the new metallic color I got for my AL. Also I built some tacticals but didn't take any picture of them yet ^^

I like it, I just need to improve, as always, my painting and choose how to highlight.
I'll surely, once I get the ones with pads etc, paint the details in moot green, the bolter instead with Incubi Darkness.
 

The dark angels look very good. you can certainly see improvment throughout your blog. I would suggest washes here and there. also, watch all the videos on youtube you can. they help.

Thank you for your kind answers, I'm waiting for the paints for the Alpha Legion to get started on this project (I'll be having a mini event in march and I really want to show up at least a kill team in the Heresy age)

With the order I bought some glazes too (green and blue) hoping it would help

I'm still waiting for the order I placed at my FLGS (white spray and incubi darkness + some other colors) to arrive. It's been 3 weeks and a half and I'll be having an event in march. I'll probably end up playing zone mortalis :\

Finally sunny weather (no not all Italy is always sunny and warm ) so I primered a bit and painted the Librarian terminator I got from a friend: he made the mistake of the position of the shoulder pad (had to be on the right arm) but I made the mistake of inverting the two colors of Deathwing. I'm not looking for repainting it soon so I'll keep it this way

This is him, I also, as usual, made an album with the other things I achieved: I bought a box for making a wet palette, got from a friend a small piece of Forex to cut onto and blacked my ravenwing force (which will be the next thing I'll be painting since the shop I ordered the colors from still hasn't received them...)
 
I also tried ( and I'm kinda happy with the result ) to fix the Alpa man

I need to take a picture of the whole lot to realize how much writing here made me going on. It may be stupid or shamefull for real painters and modellers but being affected of Keratokonus and paint these pieces makes me kinda proud

Great work on the Libby, and the colour you have on the Alpha is nice and rich.

Looking through the images in the album, that is a nice Ravenwing you have started.

Thank you, actually I just got the bikers from Dark Vengeance (I also own a box of Black Knights but as well as for the Death Knights I want to improve at cleaning the sprues and painting before getting those done) and some second hand Speeders
I'm not looking forward for going optimised but having a nice well-rounded DA force is what I hope for (Greenwing + Death/Raven in small forces)

Hey man! It's starting to look quite nice! I like the Dark Angels chapter and their mysteriousness.. I would suggest, as others have, the lazy painters way to get great results which is basecoating the model, then drybrushing it all (in this case green with a lighter green) then doing all the details and then giving the whole model a light wash, maybe 50/50 water/ink. You will see grand results!
