From what's visible, they look more like they'll be compatible with Imperial Assault rather than Doom v.1.
As someone who's never seen Imperial Assault in person, and as someone who is constantly frustrated by FFG's inability to show the contents of their boxed games on their website, do the Assault Tiles work with the DOOM tiles?

'Cause looking at some random pics I've found, it doesn't look like it:

DOOM V.1:

Okay, don't buy it.

I know some BGG'ers were unhappy that DOOM was OOP, and the expansion set is overpriced, assuming you can find it.

IMO, DOOM was *the* best of the Descent dice system. Y'know, before Descent made everything complicated and those nasty heroes were winning.

IIRC, the previous DOOM did not use an Action deck, but the Action deck looks quite fun. Nothing like imperfect information to throw off the Overlord!
Dude, chill. I'm the guy who buys things just for the tiles. As I mentioned in my original post, I own two copies of the original DOOM boardgame. Haven't played it once, but I don't care, 'cause those tiles have been worth their weird in gold (they're more useful than the Hulk tiles).

Red's joke was directed at me, and I was responding to him.

At the worst, you could put the flat edges together and link them with doors.

Certainly Descent 2, Imperial Assault and now Doom (as opposed to Doom: The Boardgame ) have much tighter layouts, but I can't tell from those photos if the actual joints are different. The squares are all, IIRC, 25mm across, it's just that Doom:TB and Descent have a lip around the edges of the squares, making the tiles bigger.

Can't wait for GenCon! My wife and I really enjoy FFG's Gears of War board game. Looking forward to this one.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
