What's up with the 15+ bit on the picture could it be a promo figure with a computer game ?
Some of them have been shoddy in the past .

If its PhotoShop then they have taken the trouble to print it out onto glossy paper .

But yeah that could be one of the worst marines I've seen

Funny enough, Forge World blisters come with a 15+ rating.

Bad photoshop is bad, the model has been superimposed onto a wd background, it's not a gw model.

1. The model is warped the same as the background, so if it's photoshop it's been photoshopped on and printed out on glossy paper
2. Any time you see a model on a background in white dwarf they'll have used some sort of image editing software since... they've had to put two images together to get that layout

I'm holding out hope it's a fan job too but I'm pretty alarmed! I was looking forward to a decent Ventanus model.

Cured resin is no more harmful than any other fine particulate.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this when it's not on a horrendously warped piece of paper so we can see what the dude actually looks like.

It's not warped paper that makes that sculpt look terrible. It's a terrible sculpt. That is one fugly toy soldier.

Maybe it is just the angle, but jeez this guy has major Thunder thighs and calves. His torso is also way out of scale with his limbs.

Absolutely terrible. The exclusive Centurion's problems were solved simply by giving him a helmet(I wish I had that model, BTW). This new sculpt can't be saved short of throwing it in the trash.

Have to assume that's just a distortion of the picture due to the warping of the paper.

There's no chance FW would release such a laughably bad sculpt. GW's done some laughably stupid models. Wolf Sleigh comes to mind. But it was a well-sculpted, laughably stupid model.

The rampagers only problems are their heads.

This guy's proportions are all messed up, which is a lot worse.

Rampagers are fine. You can always put MK2 Proto-Berzerker heads and they will look awesome. This...monstrosity, on the other hand...Wow, just wow Though I will try to stay optimistic and think it will look better once proper pictures are taken.

The 15+ label is to avoid a lot of the enhanced safety requirements due to being toys. I think most of the GW stuff had similar at some point.

You'd never be able to release a resin toy, for instance, because of the composition.

The proportions are bad, but some space marines should be really ugly. It's not like they choose the handsome neophytes. Or maybe the Ultramarines do.

I will agree it doesn't look good but the way the paper is folded is really messing with the proportions.

At least the above model is a great likeness....

Even with bent paper, that model looks terrible. Shoulders and chest and torso and legs are so disproportionate.. the standard is nice, though.

Besides, the Trollface head would fit a Nurgle/Death Guard figure just fine.

It might not be FW's prettiest model (if it isn't fan made etc.) but people saying that it's proportions are off (too big thighs and torso etc.) need to look at the normal Space Marine miniatures because I think that it's probably the first GW miniature where it looks like the marine (a well over 2 meters tall lump of muscle) could actually fit inside his armour. That's why I'm sceptical it's an actual new release.

I came, I saw and I'm still playing.
