GW do use that angle for boxes, and the comparison is good, the only thing that looks a little off is the font size and positioning of the bottom strap line, which I'd assume would follow a template as closely as all the other logos etc.

It looks interesting, and it might be an unfinished mock up, as it hasn't been released yet.

I like that Stormcast getting his face and chest ripped out by tentacles. Brings warmth to my heart.

Why do we need more Stormcast in a starter set ? Didn't we have enough in the first AOS starter set ?

Same reason why we need marines in every version of the 40k starter ever.

A few more thoughts on the Stormcast. The hero in the top left corner is in a pose that is extremely similar to the Lord Relictor from the existing starter, could be another Castellant/Veritant situation? The Liberator shield has the twin tailed comet design on it. That's not on the shields in there box but is on one of the upgrade kits. There's a Stormcast in the middle holding some kind of icon that doesn't look like the ones carried by the existing Vexillor or Veritant models. Given GW's recent aversion to artistic license with there artwork I'd say we are looking at least two new Stormcast hero models and either new mono pose Liberators and Judicators, or the regular kits packed with the Celestial Warbringers upgrade sprue.

Looks like a starter set for Age of Sigmar similiar to Death Masque - and if it is fake, GW should hire the artist

The difference between Stormcasts and Marins is - Marines are popular, Stormcast not.

Is there any evidence for that though or is it just 'I and other vocal people on the internet don't like them, so they must be unpopular'?

They literally killed WHFB so they could get the 40k Marine players to make a Stormcast army. From what I've seen, that part succeeded... insofar as every other AoS army is Stormcast, and their lack of popularity stems more from Age of Sigmar not being popular.

No thanks. One thing I liked about WHFB and Kings of War is how there's not really a dominant, overplayed army of generic super-soldier dudes I know I'll be put up against 80% of my games.

Those suggesting it's fake because of the positioning of text or lack of trademark icons might want to bear in mind that that isn't a photo of the physical box. It's quite clearly (as with the AoS starter also shown in this thread), a mocked-up image using the designs that appear on the box.

The percentage of armies that were WoC compared to the rest was nothing close to the percentage of Space Marine armies vs the rest of 40k. They also had to share that spot with the High Elves.

In terms of models, WoC's super human dudes are at least relegated to about three units (Warriors, Chosen, Knights) excluding Heroes/Lords, took up only one army in the entire range and had far, far, far, more character than the eleven or so varieties of colour chart loyalists- I mean, Stormcasts.

This would be ordered without.knowing the contents. I want a small Tzeentch band for a battle of all four gods and ST content is not that impressive on its own. My brother wants Sigmarines. Wayland/ebay has the current starter for a low-ish €€€ amount AND christmas soon AND I get money for a whiplash injury after being rearended.

And god helps my wallet if Nurgle is put in such a box with rotting marauders or plague zombies. I won't ever have enough of those two things.

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

Again, that isn't actually the box, just like the AoS box shown in this thread isn't. Compare the perspective on both and you'll see they're the same. The Fateweaver thing could very easily be a typo, since it looks like a shot from White Dwarf.

If it's fake, someone did a pretty amazing job on the artwork....

That's definitely fake. The text below the box sounds like it's written by a 17 year old.

The illustrations are also below part for GW cover art.

I'm sorry, but "quality of the art" isn't a valid argument on its own merit. If it's fake, it certainly is a good one, but just google "Warhammer fan art" and you'll see any number of images with artists of perfectly adequate skill levels to produce something like this.

Nah just seems fake as

As someone pointed out the trademark should be on the title no?

For me it's because, well, I know some of the new artwork for AoS can be questionable but this just looks bad especially for a cover art, like the guy in the back with the tiny ass head and the Tzeentch fellas just look odd.

As well, most, if not all warhammer art now features art of the actual models, rather than an artist's own interpretation and I don't see their being a Sigmarite wielding a staff with floating planets around it and the horrors in the background look odd compared to the models we have now.

I just think someone made some fan art and tried to see how official it could look, it's the internet so its bound to be true. Don't get me wrong I'd love their to be more Tzeentch....but yeah....no.

I love the look of the Stormcaster on the top left, and the general idea of it being a big Tzeentch boost. I hate having to keep building the same few models. Time for some new kits!! Can't wait, combined with the new Magnus kit that I'll turn into a huge Greater Demon . . . good time for my Tzeentch forces.

As opposed to the usual Shakespear level marketing blurbs GW usually have? And as for bellow par art? That's kinda subjective but IMO its on par with the Death masque and Stormcloud attack artwork. Not that I'm saying its definitely on the level, I just wouldn't discount it out of hand(plus I really want this to be real )

Not saying GW has the best marketing writers, but they would never mention "the year of Tzeentch" something we've only seen it referred to in rumors as a genreal term. They also wouldn't mention previous sets, because they want you interested in buying this one, not wondering "what came before this?" if you're a new player.

It's just all off. It is written poorly and sounds fake. It reads like a fan would write it, not a marketing team.

And yeah the art is below par. Looks at the details, especially on the stormcasts. They shouldn't be so flat. Not enough depth. It passes at arms length, but closer inspections shows it to be subpar art. GW doesn't put out crap art for their boxsets.
