Smaller ones as just jump mcs instead and as the core while still having the giant fmc ones should fix it.
Or just have them have a rule like the tau manta that classifies them as flying, but dont need to be shot at via snap firing, that could work and still allow them to have the flyer mobility.
Hrud skaven style. Or some nightmare from the halo stars. Like that sniper rat. Or the dog soldier. Fine looking Zoat. FFG has that radiation based space centipedes. I am all for a Kroot merc expansion for sure.
Hell the Zoat and Ambull in this pic used to have minis.

what are the names of those xenos?
The Zoat is the lizard centaur on the left, they used be part of the Tyranids in 40k and a race in Fantasy. The Ambull is the Umber Hulk looking guy in the 2nd square picture from the top.
This would be nice, but we have the Eldar and Tau who aren't mindless hordes (please no arguments about Ethereal brainwashing and aspect warrior Exarchs) but are without a doubt alien. Maybe "non-humanoid aliens who aren't a mindless horde."

40k drinking game: take a shot everytime a book references Skitarii using transports.
Five Galactic Uber Horrors (GUH) will be included in this awesome new release from your beloved GW.
The units shown in this codex are Texas-sized (yes folks, bigger than an Imperial Knight).
Rules for broken & cheesy formations and plastic kits of several gothic skyscrapers will only be available in the following huge box set Revenge of the Fiftees.
The GUHs can be included in your 40K games in three ways:
1. Cataclysmic Event: One or several GUHs enter the game randomly and wreak havoc upon the opposing armies. The GUHs use the rules for Reserves and Fail-Proof Deep Strike.
Fail-Proof Deep Strike: Both players roll a D6 and the winner places the GUH anywhere on the board but not in the deployment zone of a player. Reroll any ties. If more than one GUH is used they are alternatingly placed by both players and start to attack the nearest opposing unit.
2. Rampage: One player takes control of one or several GUHs and tries to demolish as many gothic skyscrapers as possible. The other player tries to stop him with a conventional 40K army that defends its home/city/ hive.
See also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rampage_(video_game)
3. Imperial Kights (Renegade): The GUHs can fight each other or against other suitable units for this game.
List of GUHs in Codex Galactic Uber Horrors:
Seraphon Prime Appearance: Gigantic firebreathing lizard walking on hindlegs.
Kit Options: Three different heads (Firebreather, bites victim head off (SM, Ork or Eldar) and swallows victim whole (Cadian guardsman, CSM or Genestealer)), three different tails, three different objects held in hand (rock, lamp post or kiosk) and three different objects being trampled under Foot (cadian guardsman, SM Rhino or Daemon Prince).
Emperor Kong Appearance: Gigantic ape.
Kit Options: Three different heads (orangutan, gorilla & chimpanzee), three different objects held in hand (caucasian woman, huge banana, or tree) and three different objects being trampled under Foot (cadian guardsman, SM Rhino or Daemon Prince). Also included: Caucasian woman on foot. Note: It is obligatory that the woman is a blonde.
Arachnia Appearance: Gigantic furry spider.
Kit Options: Three different heads, three different abdomen and a plethora of various webbed victims & small vehicles or GMC.
Glob Appearance: Gigantic gelatinous cube.
Kit Options: Three different sets of partially digested victims (Space Marine, Ork & Eldar Infantry and parts of corroded SM Rhino, Ork Trukk & Eldar Wave Serpent).
50 Foot Woman Appearance: Gigantic caucasian woman in skimpy outfit.
Kit Options: Three different head options (Bettie Page, Marilyn Monroe & Jane Russel), three different objects held in hand (cheating husband, civilian car or advertisement board) and three different objects being trampled under High Heel (cheating husband, Leman Russ, Hive Tyrant).
... what? I like spider-walkers and there's really not enough of them in 40k.
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

My blog
I'd like something more alien, and less human. A lot of the xeno races seem very human based to me!
I'd love to see slaan or zoats making a comeback, also unspeakable aliens. Something actually alien, rather than human-shaped with a funny forehead
We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come
Monarch Flyer Appearance: Giant Death Head's Moth
Kit Options: Three head options: mantis, moth or tiger beetle; Can be posed flying with wings open or on crashed aeroplane tail section with wings closed, choose one of three objects crashed into base: Tau Razorshark , Ork Dakkajet or Eldar Hemlock fighter
I agree on a multi-legged arachnic warrior race with lots of plasma weaponry that also immobilizes (or poisons).
Hrud. Some sort of risen Empire of Hrud that start up while the Imperium is busy dealing with the arrival of Chaos.
The Umbra would be a cool alien race. Maybe play along with the whole monsters only kind of army. Something that could force night fighting for the whole game. Infiltration, sprouting from the enemies eyeballs; crazy stuff like that.
Not your traditional "race" but it would probably work great as an army and lends itself to some interesting unique gene stealer cult like special rules.
Inactive, user. New profile might pop up in a while
I'd like exodites done right. Technobarbarian eldar, rather than space-amish.
Enslavers would make for some kickass special rules. Psychic table where the primaris allows you to take control of an enemy unit for a turn/phase' supporting an army of mind-controlled guardsmen/marines/whatever you like.
Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?
Auticus wrote: Or in summation: its ok to exploit shoddy points because those are rules and gamers exist to find rules loopholes (they are still "legal"), but if the same force can be composed without structure, it emotionally feels "wrong".

Yeah that would be fun
That would be neat. Before GW went nuts they did have rules for enslavers, iirc. They also had rules for Lost and the Damned (a proper army list, no less. Not that silly formation crap), Kroot mercenaries, proper rules for Catachans, and probably a few other things that I can't remember. All of which could be found for free on their website. Until they turned it into a glorified webstore that is, and threw all of those nice painting tutorials, stories and pdf into the trash.
Anyway, seeing what the interex were like would be interesting. I don't know how they would be brought back, because they got super owned during the great crusade (I think it was during that), but maybe a reenactment thing would be possible, like what FW is doing with Horus Heresy.

Chaos-worshipping Xenos that instead of something like Marks, Daemonic Alignment or Covenants instead have HQs that give a different bubble effect based on the 4 Gods.
Also preferably they'd be non-humanoid and be large, tough and kind of elite... Think of something like/between an Ogryn or Tyranid Warrior statline for the basic troops.
Rather than a single, unified faction, I'd love to see a Rogue Trader Codex, with lots of different species represented - these could then either be allied or taken as say, Elites in armies X, Y and Z, or as part of a Rogue Trader force in it's own right.

Ooh, that would be fun. Reminds me of Kroot Mercenaries already. Even back then, before allies were a thing, I vaguely remember Kroot Mercs being allowed to be a part of an army. With some restrictions, of course.
Not sure how to do a whole stand alone army of traders though. I don't think there are enough of them to engage an army. With kroot it was easy to imagine, as they were a whole race of mercs, but traders are just traveling salesmans and swashbucklers, right? They could probably work in a killteam, but I don't see how, fluff wise, they would be able to go toe to toe with the Imperial Guard.

Well, some Rogue Traders do have entire fleets at their disposal, and the make up of said fleets varies wildly (purely Imperial, complete with requisitioned Astra Militarum and Tempestus Scions to 'anyone who looks a bit tasty in a fight'.
My old FFG Rogue Trader had a badass fleet. And when the nobles I rescued from that world got uppity, I appointed Gronk the Ogryn as my Seneschal for them to deal with, leaving me free to mess about loads.
But onto the core of the idea - look to IA:13 for how that could work. In short, it's not a beginners Codex or army list that one. Soooo many options, with instances of A preventing the inclusion of C and so on.

Ah, so they are more organised and widespread than I thought. Sounds like they are more of a syndicate than a single trading crew.
That makes a stand alone army of them a little more feasible then.

Really varies wildly. Some have their own fleet, others their own ship. Others still essentially hitch-hike their way round the Galaxy, seeking new planets to bring into His doman.
Hell, I'd love to see a spin-off game called Rogue Trader. Say every year they release a new locale, with associated very local gribblies. Make it a skirmish to 1,000 point max type affair. No idea of the practicality, but it sounds hella cool!

Ah, but it'd be attractive to the Hobby Hipster - those who couldn't possibly have been gaming that edition (seeing as they're way too young), but still declare it the besterest evar :p

THIS IS WHAT WE NEED but seriously I want a race of entirely cybernetic beings that are not skelespooks, I almost want to imagine stealth suits with nobody in them ....almost...
