Yes in about 2 years i would guess. Anyone who says otherwise please see Empire in Sod that's what's going to happen to regular space marines.

The Empire still has miniature and rules support (Though they are split into different 'factions') after 2 years. Granted they lost some units but those were either older kits or special characters but you can buy an Empire army today. I suspect the same will happen to Space Marines. I expect them to stop selling bikers and to axe all the special characters next edition but they'll keep the kits around.

I don't know. I don't pretend that I know. I only have my opinion:

Modelwise? Upgrade is good.

From a tactical point of view? NuMarines are the worst.

I personally think it highly unlikely that regular marines will be phased out. They have created a distinct sub-faction with the Primaris, with distinct disparity in weapons, numbers, transport options and arguably battlefield roles. If they were seeking to replace the "regular marine" range they would not have gone to such lengths to establish that disparity. That said i wouldn't be surprised if the regular marine range gets scaled up a bit as it is re-released, so that it's somewhere in between the size of the current marines and the Primaris ones. This would be a good thing overall imho, though it's bound to p**s off a fair portion of players.

As for Chaos marines, unfortunately you probably picked the worst possible time to have invested in them, as most of their kits except Plague Marines are long overdue a replacement, and this is most likely to happen soon with the upcoming release of the new codex.

I let the dogs out
