I knew that we'd see these terrain bundles this month! And just in time for Necromunda!

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

Got my WD in hand, as I'm sure plenty of you guys do too...
There's a Christmas catalogue showing off collections of terrain and such as has already been mentioned, I wonder if this means that there are no army deals to be had this year?

I had my fingers crossed for an excuse to give the Khadron Overlords a go! ¬_¬

I was counting on same thing Last year's battleforces were leaked mid November, so hopefully there's still time. We got terrain and paint bundles, would be a shame to not get any with actual minis

Terrain and paint are always great, though II agree that mini deals are the cherry on top!

I do wonder if capacity has been taken for product such as Blood Bowl, Necromunda and the other boxed games (Calth etc) combined with the rumours that GW are struggling with demand in producing product at the factory might mean what we've seen so far is what we get.

I'm really excited for the new terrain. might hold off on some SM stuff to scratch the itch for new terrain. After finishing my Armies on Parade board, I kinda don't want to go straight back to minis.

Necromunda is also kinda calling me back, so I'm feeling like kitbashing some that I can use for it and 40k.

Unless some really cool scheiss comes out for SM, (can't afford astreaus currently)

Well, 2 plasma regulators and 2 plasma pipelines for starters. And the door sets for Necromunda may be quite handy for zone mortalis.

Do we know yet if the terrain box that has the two Void Generators has Promethium Pipes or the new Plasma Conduit pipes?

One set of the new plasma pipes, according to the WD blurb.

Good thing I managed to restrain myself from buying anything for the past month, so I can justify getting some of this. Still have a lot of terrain to paint though (2 imperial sectors, 1 bastion, 1 landing pad, 1 fortress of redemption), but I don't think I can restrain myself from buying some nice terrain for Christmas.

GW does sell those but you might want to resist doing it that way. Instead, buy this big set and see if you can trade away your "bulby things" for more space corridors and... yea, let's not go there.

Anyway, I did a quick survey of the image in the WD and it seems to break down like this:

Isn't this approximately what was included in the Shadow War Armageddon main set?

Nice to see the Moon base ruins out as "Ryza pattern Ruins". That gets a chuckle.

I'd like to know also. If that's the case, it's a better deal than I initially thought.

Is there any clarity on what is actually in this box? The pictures on the Games Workshop site for the STC Ryza-Pattern Ruins is inconclusive - the description says " 4 large ruined wall sections, 2 each of 2 unique designs ... There are also 2 access hatches, 6 barricades and 2 ammo crates" and the box cover certainly shows 4 ruined walls, but one of the other photographs on the web page shows the long wall section with the door and fan, which is not on the box cover (as far as one can tell from the front and side edge shown). The three different 'barricades' come from the three different Moon base sprues. So which part of the description is wrong? 4 Ruined walls or 6 barricades? (Or did they re-do the sprues?)

To get 2 ammo crates 2 hatches and 6 barricades you would need to get 2 each of the sprues.

but then that would give 8 larger wall sections not the 4 listed. I doubt that they recut the sprue already the picture and description don't add up to the sprue contents. I guess we'll have to wait and see when someone has it in hand to confirm. For the price I'd have expected just the 3 sprues no duplicates.

Based on the price and the box covert I guess we only get 2 sprues.

I really like this scenery but the price point is dissapointing. For the same cost you can get one of their other imperial sector terrain boxes which, from my eyeballing, seems to come with more terrain overall.

You mean basilica adminostrdasfag? one of the sprue are only for floor and lamp so the STC ryza ruin might form a longer wall. Same for Sanctum Imperialis

Also you need glue for that one, the new STC one stand on its own.

Spoiler:

Yes, the third sprue is just catwalks and lamps and such, but you get all that for free in comparison - and the sprue seems more "filled out" in the imperial sector terrain than the ryza ruins. Or am I just judging it wrong?

^ You have 2 set of that vs only 1 set of sector imperiallis/basilica.

Also it appear you won't be getting the sprue with the full wall and ammo crate, according to the box cover.

The description, pictures and sprues are all at odds with one another.

In order to get two of everything, you have to get double sprues, but that gives you more walls than the description.

Those Ryza-pattern ruins are really tempting just because of how cheap they are.

...But does anyone else feel like they're a little lacklustre, gameplay-wise? I can't help but feel like it would be nicer if we got a similarly sized/priced terrain set that did more to block LOS since that seems to be much more important for terrain in the current edition.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

I think we'll see a few home made Zone Mortalis boards being built with the Ryza ruins and the new Necromunda bulkheads
