Right, meaning Vakathi's analysis of the Manticore compared to the Russ is accurate, as you mentioned before (admitting that it was the case if the Russ was costed accurately, which we now know it is, roughly).

I don't agree with the analysis of the manticore completely, though. I think it is still underpaying to ignore LoS. I'm not willing to agree that the transitive property is in play here.

I also completely neglected to mention Russ being T8 vs T7 predator.

", but it doesn't make it worth as much or more than a fully kitted out LRBT either. That's ridiculous. "

No it's not, because ignoring LoS with a weapon that strong is VERY good.

Interesting that the manticore is nearly tied with the Infantry squad.

All this crying about manticores and I am just sitting here in the corner with my 5 Shirtless Basilisks being shouted at by another Shirtless man Firing Heavy 2D6 Reroll one of the Dice then Discard the Lowest shots that wound Land Raiders on a 3+ then do D3 damage that also re-roll 1's to hit and have a 240" range that doesn't need LOS. That are also bubblewrapped by S4 swoledoods who have +1LD?

Oh and they all have heavy bolters too, even the shirtless shouty man.

Did I mention Basilisks are bloody stupid good, especially catachan ones?

It's critical to their operational success, really.

It's a standing order in the Imperial Guard to keep one's trousers on at all times, lest one's massive, brazen balls frighten the enemy offplanet before a righteous and xenos/heretic-murdering smackdown can be delivered.

I'd have to ask why the BA Predator would be more than the regular variety.

I'd have to say Scion, Shadowsword, Manticore. Maybe Leman Russ Punisher.

I'd be hard pressed to call the Leman Russ Battle Tank one of the best units in the army.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!

Thats their weapon of last resort, you can't just lead with that kind of power and expect to have any fun, right?

Not the best, but its a great all rounder that can kill just about anything and can take a lot of punishment. and all at range
