Yeah the guard codex issues are pretty well documented. Best advice I can give is spam the GW Facebook account with things like "where are IG sergeant lasguns? We get 10 in the box" every single update they do along with all the other weird things and maybe they'll get around to it by 9th edition

When I left the game back in 2008, it seemed like GW's design team was a carefully controlled chaos in some of their decisions. Now it's just bewildering.

Maybe I should get back to work on those homebrew rules :p
