All this time and no Star Wars either. Duel of the Fates is the low hanging fruit but Vader and Luke (either) are certainly up there with the best.

Well, yes, but it’s competing w/ the Princess Bride duel. Then again, people started adding in trash that is anime, and the thread took a nose dive.

Hey, I resemble that!

On that note, My Hero Academia has some of the best recent duels. Deku vs Todaroki, All for One vs One for All and Deku vs Bakugo are some of Jumps best.

I do so wish that the movie had gotten the books ending. The difference in the Giddeon fight is so important to what the series wants to say it hurts to watch an otherwise fantastic adaptation.

You cannot have a debate on the greatest duels in cinema without a shout out to 'The Raid' or it's sequel, quite probably the best martial arts movies ever made. Fantastic choreography.

How often do you get final boss who is so tough, it takes two heroes to take him on, who only manage to get him after they have slit his throws and let him bleed out?

From the sequel.

As a bonus, the infamous hallway fights from the first movie. Also count as duels for sheer awesomeness.

Screw it. Just go watch the full movies.

And as a noble runner up, here's the fight club scene in Ong bak. A series of 3 excellent duels.

So many duels, so many choices. The last 20min of the movie "Birds of prey" should make the list. This clip is from the start of that duel.

Man, the noise that tanker makes as it goes over the cliff, I've wanted that to be the beginning of a Metal song from the second I started playing guitar.

Strictly this is hilarious thievery rather than serious combat but it sort of revolve round a swordfight!
