Technically there's no kit you can buy to get the base weapon load-out for a War Walker, or Chaos Terminators.

Chaos Sorcerer with Jump-pack doesn't have a model, does it?

Take a look at what I've been painting and modelling: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/725222.page

If you want to get technical, there is. The Eldar SC box (due to the extra Wraithlord weapons) The option does not exist in the normal WW box though.

Don't you have models for these? You just use the generic kits, same as your Rhinos, Razorbacks, Gunships, Land Raiders and Dreadnoughts.
Grey Knight Purgation squad, unless someone thinks that buying 4 strikes boxs to get 1 unit of Purgators is okey.
Well, yeah - that's only one unit of Purgators if you want them all with the same weapon. That's like saying that Scion Command Squads don't have a box because they don't contain 4 plasma guns, or that Devastator Squads don't have a kit because they only have two grav cannons.

Technically there isn't a normal Librarian or classic marine Lieutenant with a Jump Pack either, although they do sell Jump Packs as a separate item and one of the classic Librarians would be an ideal match for it.

...I don't think GW sells anything they label as a classic Marine Lieutenant for that matter. They also don't sell an Ancient in Terminator Armor from what I can see, although they DO sell a "Command Squad" box even though there is no such thing as a Command Squad in the Marine arsenal.

How about Legends units with models still in production? Kabalite Trueborn and Hekatrix Bloodbrides always seemed a pointless pair to remove when they had always been built from the generic troops version of the same unit.

Technically, they do, but only via the Space Marine Heroes range. So, it *is* currently in production, but actually buying one directly is difficult.

Ironically, that model can't actually be used by Blood Angels, who can't take power fists.

Aren’t you just supposed to use traditional space marine models for those?

The Craftworlds Autarch on foot model is OOP, but the datasheet is in the codex. Based on the default (only) wargear it looks like they expect you to use the Price Yriel model, but that's never been marketed as a generic Autarch.

Optimist :-)

Think what you have as Madboyz were the 3rd ed Stikkbommas.

Boarboyz should be listed as OOP because they had models during second edition. Their clan was snakebites. The Warpheads were from second also. The blister came with two minderz. They were usually painted different colors to stand out from the rest of the army.

I was going to bring up the Spined Chaos Beast and the Giant Chaos Spawn, but they're not units in Codex: Chaos Daemons (slightly redundant since there are no other kind) and I can't check to see if they're FW units right now.

You can make a Blood Angels Ancient in Terminator Armour from their Terminator Assault Squad box -
Spoiler:

I thought you could also make a Dark Angels one from their Deathwing Command Squad box, but that's a back banner.

A banner is a banner, whether it's mounted on the back(pack) or held in the hand is a matter for the hobby knife to decide. Unless it's a Banner, in which case the attempt will end horribly.

The plague spewer is literally on its left arm. Why do you think it was given that as an option?

Imperial Guard Vets: they have FW models, just OOP I think, Elysian shotgun vets, Cadian shotgun vets conversion pack may be still in production.

Renegades and Heretics: look at BSF, they have plenty of available models suitable for the look.

I’ll have to look at the vets thing, but no elysian models or conversions are officially made anymore save the Skytalon. And as for R&H, yes they have the look but they were made with their own datasheets so they don’t qualify as renegades.

Isn’t the conqueror the same as a basic cannon? They have the same profile

You can certainly make the Deathwing Ancient from the Deathwing box. The Codex photo of the Deathwing Ancient has a model with powerfist and stormbolter and the back banner from the box.

All you have to do is fire three rounds a minute, and stand

Necrons HQ:
Cryptek (no option without chronometron or canoptek cloak)
Overlord and Catacomb Command Barge (no option without resurrection orb and missing a bunch of weapon options)
Kutlakh
Toholk

Necrons Heavy Support:
Transcendent C'tan (not available stand-alone)

Weapon options can be kitbashed, so it's not out of need I want new sculpts for them, more just to have some different crown and cape sculpts. Even if the Obelisk was not trash I don't think you should need to build three Obelisks just to have three Transcendent C'tan and using only GW miniatures you have relatively few replacement options.

The finecast Cryptek comes with two right arms - one of which doesn't have the orb thingy (I'm not sure that GW has ever actually clarified that it's supposed to be a chronometron. When the model was released, only a Harbringer of Eternity could take a chronometron, and then they had to have an aeonstave instead of the staff of light which the model clearly has (EDIT: oh, no, turns out the 7th ed. Codex does claim that the orb thing is a chronometron. Seems like a post hoc explanation).

The Overlord with Warcythe model comes with two left arms - one of which doesn't have a resurrection orb (the model GW use on the webstore page doesn't have the orb). The Lord on the Command Barge can be built without an orb (again, as in the picture on the webstore).

Interestingly there hasn't been a Lord with staff of light model since the limited edition 3rd ed. army box (excepting the limited re-release of the 2nd ed. Lord in Finecast a few years ago), and there has never been a model with a hyperphase sword or voidblade (not that most people would even consider them as viable options anyway... The arms from Lychguard are fully compatible with the plastic Lord from the Command Barge, but the Praetorians ahve the voidblade in the wrong hand.)

So that's one for the list. Although.considering the nature of the Chaos Spawn anyone with a bitbox full of GW parts has the proper kit for a Spawn of whatever size they can wrangle.
