If they move all the old-Marines to 30k the Primaris won't have "replaced" Space Marines.

That does not compute.

I think it would be pretty awesome to see Chaos get it's own unique version of the Primaris line actually... but as of right now I'm pretty sure that's just not the priority for GW.

(I've heard others talk about a version of the "greater possessed" to counter the Primaris)

No. Keep your primaris out of my Chaos Space Marines.

I don't think Chaos needs their own Primaris as much as we should be seeing more of them being empowered by Chaos. Bring back statline changes for having marks (make unaligned +1 attack and let people swap that for something else so we can back it into the points cost to boot).

I mean part of the allure of Chaos is how it empowers a person, allows them to go beyond what they could before.

And before anyone complains, Iron Warriors could just swap their mark for a Iron Hands FnP save.

I still stand by Alpha Legion being Tzeentch worshippers, even if it's by accident. One does not plot for 10k years with that kind of planning and counterplanning without getting the Changer's attention after all.

I'd argue that the executioner is basicly the primaris predator.

but yeah a whirlwind equivilant would be nice. heck could even take it and the vindy and combine it into a single mobile artillery piece.
I'll be honest, I always found the idea of Space Marines with artillery a bit weird. Legions? That makes sense, but Chapters? I've always been of the opinion that indirect artillery shouldn't really be a Marine staple, and instead should have more along the lines of direct fire weaponry like Vindicators, Predators, and Land Raiders (I'd retool the TFC to be a direct fire weapon, if it isn't already).

Of course, that's just my take, and I do have a Whirlwind, if just for completionism.

I think rocket artillery is pretty coherent with the space marine doctrine, moreso than the Vindicator. The Whirlwind is highly mobile, and can deliver it's entire payload quickly to break up a problem point in support of space marine forces. It can't lay a long duration destructive barrage like a Basilisk can, but it can provide responsive and immediate support for mobile space marine units.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!

Would love to see proper terminators in Primaris scale, I’m not keen on the Gravis armour look at all.

they are when marines wear multiple differant hats. that's the thing about primaris Marines, they sacrifice some TACTICAL flexability but the modular nature of their armor system as well as a training regime that seems a bit.. wider in scope, allows for a force to reconfigure overnight from a lightweight vanguard force to a battleline force to a heavy assault force.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
