No seriously, this line became such a meme that when they released the Citadel DLC for ME3 which many argue as being the true finale to the series. You encounter a clone of yourself who-- you know what? Let me just link the scene.

What makes that line isn't the delivery of it, but of the lines around it. Shepard just isn't worried at all. She already knows how to get them out of it, and is worrying about what she feels is more important things.

Man, the Citadel DLC was such a phenomenal final send off for the Shepard ME games. Just pure fun, laughing at all the silliness of the series. And getting to kick ass with Wrex again :chef's kiss:

I'd throw Mordin's audio logs he leaves you, especially his memoirs from Omega which are delivered in the style of a Noir detective narrating a case, from said DLC in there.

Had broken Omega's one rule... in more ways than one.

Plus, of course the classic

Yeah, frigging love that one.

The only other one I can think of right now is: 'Swooping is bad,' Alistair in his forever wisdom from Dragon Age: Origins. Man, I miss the old Bioware.

Also, all the quotes from the Librarian in DOW, but most of all: "Hope, is the first step on the road to disappointment."

"The best way to lie is to tell the truth." Attelus Kaltos.
My story! Secret War
After his organisation is hired to hunt down an influential gang leader on the Hive world, Omnartus. Attelus Kaltos is embroiled deeper into the complex world of the Assassin. This is the job which will change him, for better or for worse. Forevermore. Chapter 1.

The Angaran Chronicles: Hamar Noir. After coming back from a dangerous mission which left his friend and partner, the werewolf: Emilia in a coma. Anargrin is sent on another mission: to hunt down a rogue vampire. A rogue vampire with no consistent modus operandi and who is exceedingly good at hiding its tracks. So much so even the veteran Anargrin is forced into desperate speculation. But worst of all: drive him into desperate measures. Measures which drives Anargrin to wonder; does the ends, justify the means?

I'm still confused when people say they don't like Alistair's character. Of all the Carth clones in every Bioware game, Alistair was the least bland and the most fun to be around. He's the kind of guy who actually becomes someone's best friend. Because he isn't a dour git 24/7 all bummed out about how he couldn't save his family or some such. So many of his lines were golden.

His one convo with Zevran is amazing;

"Are you sure we can trust him? He'd betray his own empire for some cheese!"

"I don't even like cheese."

"That just makes it worse you sick bastard!"

Characters bouncing off each other in Dragon Age while running about the world. Usually people bouncing off Morrigan, really.

Morrigan: "And if you had not been recruited [into the Grey Wardens]? What would have happened, instead?"
Alistair: "I would have turned into a drooling lunatic, slaughtered the Grand Cleric, and run through the streets of Denerim in my smallclothes, I guess."
Morrigan: "Your self-awareness does you credit."
Alistair: "I thought you'd like that."

I choose this one purely because it's the only one that's in my head right now and I suppose that's worth something.

"I ain't finished with you Space Muhrine!"

"But I am finished with you ork" pointblank headshot with a plasma pistol.

Seriously that warboss was the best thing about the characters in that game.

yeah lots of good lines in the ME series.

the quest with the Elcor who thinks working with the Reapers is a good idea...

"You... big, stupid jellyfish...."

not as funny typed out, but the way the voice actor delivers it is golden - so much contempt!

I don't understand why there's such a small, but vocal, group of DA:O fans who hate Alistair with a frothing madness that should be reserved for characters such as Erebus or Lorgar lol, either. I liked all of the DA:O companion characters, too.

Back OT been playing Spec Ops the Line and that has some damn good dialogue in it, especially Sergeant Lugo's jokes.

CPT Walker: You got a lock on that transmission?
SSG Lugo: Yes, sir. About 800 yards away.
CPT Walker: ...Then we're 800 yards away from seeing who's more full of gak, you or intel.
SSG Lugo: Wow. If I wasn't a hardened killing machine, that might've hurt.

Shipping wars. The bloodiest infighting among popular media fanatics.

Old bioware characters was very good at poking the preteen 'romantics' inside 30-somethings with too much time on their hands.

Eh, I don't hate Alistair but beyond the occasional quip there isn't a huge amount to like about him for me. He fobs off his responsibility to lead the Grey Wardens on to you, is very reluctant to take up his birthright even when it would be incredibly useful for the cause that he do so, and his hissy fit at attempting to spare Loghain which either results in dead Loghain, dead Alistair or exiled Alistair is about the most emotion you get out of him and is hardly the most endearing outburst. Kinda just makes him come across as a bit childish.

Need something underneath the snark to make for a good character and for me Alistair lacks that.

I disagree. Yeah, Alistair's a man-child no doubt, but that sorta adds to his endearing factor his character arc is to kinda grow up out of it, which the Warden can help him do in his brief but memorable side-quest. His backstory explains much of why he's like that, though, being sorta kept at arm's length by his father-figure and pretty much abused by his father figure's wife didn't help him much making him into a stepford smiling dude with severe self-esteem and confidence issues. I can't blame him too much for his outburst against recruit Loghain, he is responsible for the deaths of what came the closest to a true family to Alistair especially Duncan who was another father-figure, would do that to a person. Even Loghain if had his reasons. Despite being a man-child he handled the death of the Grey Wardens pretty well, I think and it's obvious he's barely keeping his emotions in check especially when reminising about the Wardens. In a pragmatic sense, it might've been better if he didn't take charge, due to at the beginning being compromised for his grief of his friends. Although, it is a flaw for him to do it, no doubt.

Loving all the nods to BioWare titles here. Some of my personal favorite game lines come from Gears of War

'What was that?'
'It was just the wind.'
'Yeah, right. When was the last time the wind said "HOSTILES!" to you?"

Followed closely by

'Do you think they know why we're here?'
'Well we're not here to sell cookies, so they know somethings up'

Dropped my controller and burst out laughing at both those lines the first time I played.

I really liked Colonel Radec's lines in Killzone 2, as well as all of Scolar Visari's speeches in the first 3 Killzones.

Top Colonel Radec ones for me:

"Defeat is Unacceptable! Envy the dead who escape this shame of failure."

Not exactly a line but the "do you know what the definition of insanity is?" scene from Farcry 3 was great.

Obviously every line Minsc has in Baldur's gate.

Out of all the dawn of war quotes my favourite is the Ork tankbusta line which is just "HAHAHA don't hold on to dat end of it!"

I had to deal with the cutscene 100 times playing Gears of War on insanity but I somehow still enjoyed the moment when Marcus and Dom are sneaking around and they get attacked by Theron Guard and Dom says "When was the last time the wind said hostiles! to you?"
