Happy B day!
Probably my greatest dream is for the landraider to be viable. Any rule that made it viable I'd be happy with.
Id say - give it super transhuman physiology! You can only wound it on a 5+! Additionally - give it the assault ramp rule back!

I'd like for my main Dex (Daemons) to be made fully viable and varied within each of the Gods.
So you can run pure Nurgle, or Slaanesh, or Khorne, or Tzeentch, and still have an interesting list with options.
A big part of that would be to give every God decent shooting-it doesn't have to deal damage, but maybe Khorne could have more guns that give a bonus to people who charge that unit, or force the enemy unit to charge if there are units within range. Nurgle could cut ranges and apply hit or Toughness penalties, and Slaanesh could apply hit and movement penalties. Tzeentch could actually do damage, though some trickery would be appropriate, of course!

More interesting/fluffy legion traits for chaos legions. If I really wanted to reach for it I would say custom traits like what the loyalists have to make my own unique custom warband. I'd even take it as a crusade style add on not meant for competitive play.
Alternatively, adding extra rules to marks in lieu of custom chapter tactic equivilents could make that aspect of Chaos Space Marines more interesting.
Possessed that live up to their fluff without requiring a bonkers amount of support, I would readily accept this at the cost of Daemonic ally herald compatibility.
Honestly though I think I'll be satisfied if they just update the MEQ stat line, add a few strats and what not.
Also updated Khorn berzerker and noise marine models...
Give chaos back it's mounted (bike and daemonic mount) lords, sorcerers, and cult terminators and bikes and havocs... Blastmaster havocs...
Maybe make berzerker jump pack dudes as well...

I honestly can't think of any normal transport vehicle in the game right now I wouldn't want to add in the ability to disembark after it moves. Transports need to be ways to make units move around the board faster again, rather than just a way to...I don't know, be a box?
The only transports that have any value in the game right now are the open-topped ones in factions that can shoot.
Because they add mobility to the squad without destroying their offensive tempo. You can move the transport, close to the enemy, and then you can shoot.
That's all you need!

I'd like to see more capacity for adaptation in the Tyranid rules. They're supposed to be a faction that adapts to counter the enemy, and it used to be a core part of the rules, but it's slowly been lost.
Something like being able to pick an army-wide adaptation at the start of the game, to represent how the force has been evolved to counter this specific threat, would be perfect. Or just having more options for DIY subfactions. Or just opening up Adaptive Physiology to anything at the cost of a command point.
I'd also like to see similar flexibility for AM. There it's not about adapting to the enemy, but just to represent the wide variety of Guard regiments in the universe. Mostly I just want to be able to run Scions/Stormtroopers as infantry in an AM army, rather than them being siloed off into their own detachments and unable to ride in Chimeras.
Lastly, I just want R&H back.
Edit: Also what the_scotsman said about transports. With the board being so small nowadays, just being faster than walking isn't enough reason to take a transport- I see them used as pillboxes more than mobility aids. Being able to move and then disembark their troops would be a big improvement to their utility.

I play guard mostly, and I'd like them to have a few things that would be more interesting/fun (in my opinion)
Sentinel commanders, if not its own unit, then an upgrade to a single model in a squadron of three, for +1BS, +1W, +1Ld, with a minor unit buff (maybe movement based on scouts, and shooty based on armored)
Lasguns as an option for Sergeants and Officers, Hot-shot Lasguns as an option for Tempestor Primes, Tempestors and Officers.
A fast attack, and Heavy support option for Tempestus Scions, so they can field a Brigade - nothing fancy, maybe a sentinel, and a heavy weapons team would be enough.
Allow veterans to be a Troops choice again.

I'd like to see the effort put into the RW and DW detachment rules applied to Necrons, specifically when it comes to making Destroyer Cult or Canoptek armies. Ways to refund your detachment CP costs, extra bonuses etc. A bit more granularity with keywords too; like WLT's changing depending on the type of unit taking them. So for instance a Destroyer Lord model with Implacable Conqueror has it effect <DESTROYER CULT> units instead of <CORE>.
I'd also like most of the restrictions surrounding Command Protocols just done away with. I'd also like the Szarekhan WLT and Szarekh's ability that uses them to just be integral parts of the mechanic, no matter what you're running. When Szarekh is in your army they actually feel worthwhile to use because you have some leeway and some mid-game options in how to use them. If he isn't there and/or you're not running Szarekhan Dynasty, then it just kind of feels like you can skip them, which isn't an ideal situation for a major army gameplay mechanic.
When it comes to Craftworlds, a similar idea to my first paragraph would be ideal, especially when it comes to making fluffy armies for the different Craftworlds. I'm hesitant to say Codex Supplements, but the five major Craftworlds deserve them far more than some of the Marine Chapters. Or at the very least they deserve to have a greater degree of granularity and detail in their rules than just the usual subfaction design. Iyanden for example could lose Core on things like Guardians, but gain Core on Wraith units, alongside allowing them to do a DW style detachment ability to give those Wraith units Obsec and refund your CP for the Vanguard detachment. You could give the Guardian keyword to a bunch of units and then have Ulthwe have a bonus to Guardian keyword units to represent the Black Guardians etc. Like the 3rd Edition Army lists where Ulthwe actually had their own specific unit entries for a bunch of these units that were superior to the regular ones.
I don't think CWE really need any actual new units; they have an expansive range of datasheets with a lot of options. They just need new models for those options. Like an actual proper foot Autarch kit, plastic Warlocks, a different Farseer kit (so everyone doesn't just use the same one) and of course the obvious stuff like plastic Aspects, Rangers, new Guardians, new Dire Avengers etc. I'm kind of surprised also that Iyanna has never gotten an official model either.

Mostly Harlequin rules need a tone down (start from reducing the power of haywire cannons and limiting the squad to 2 fusion pistols like what comes in the box would probably be a good place to start, also probably just ditch the strat that gives Starweavers Shield from Harm) but it has been...since they were launched that they got anything.
They could probably use a named character or two, and I've always thought that the 'dreadful guardian constructs of the black library' were a cool unit concept GW could add. Particularly because so much of the modern harlequin range is a nod to weaponry they could have in the old rogue trader days - Harlequin Caresses being a reference to the fact they could take powerfists, Starweavers being that they could have Vypers and would often use them as transports..but hey, they used to have Wraithlords, and people would often convert them heavily to make them all fethed up and circus clowny. How 'bout a spooky webway marionette creature?
A re-interpretation of Mimes could also potentially be interesting. Dress them up like Tragedians from Pathologic and fluff them as Harlequins who are completely lost, such that they don't even have the role that they play any longer, and seek only to move in the shadows of others, quietly slipping through the cracks in the webway to enact the Harlequins' goals behind the scenes. Make them very bad in combat but give them the ability to do weird stuff like slip back into reserves if they end their move outside of line of sight of all enemy models, or move objective markers if they start their turn on them.

I really want to see Stormtroopers/Scions get functional weapons. The AP on them is simply not terribly functional, never has been, for the squishiness of the unit, the pathetic S of the gun, and the insanely short range, and they've always paid out the nose for it without being able to put it to good use, and it doesn't really fit their role either.
I'd really rather see something like Assault 3 18" S3 with no AP, something that fits an archetypal actual "stormtrooper" role of being a close assault unit with blistering short range suppressive firepower.

Khorne daemons- more weird and wacky stuff like the Skullcannon, that isn't just 'smash with axe or blade.'
Spike throwers or 'decapitation launchers' or whatever- things that lets the blood flow, but isn't just 'Angry me chop with axe.'
Daemons in general- Basically all the monogod lists need another release like the ones that brought us Nurgle flies, exalted flamers and skullcannons. To diversify the range and add tactical options.
More Venomcrawler-sized daemon engines would be nice as well. The defiler, soulgrinder and dino-bots are all bizarrely out-of-scale and too big, but the VC is lovely.

And while we're at it lets give some of those big groobly monsters actual defined roles for what they're supposed to do, instead of just flinging like 4 WS4+ melee lascannons and then having some super lame "Hypermega Poison Barbdrel Fangs: roll a D6 for every model within 0.000000000001" of this model and for every 6, roll another d6, and if you get another 6, do a mortal wound~!!!!" thing.
Mawloc: I like the idea of the deep striking underground serpent monsters being like Dune or Tremors worms, where if you step into the wrong area or get marked in some way they can smell you and bust out of the ground and get you. Mawloc has a lot of low-strength attacks for gobbling infantry, Trygon has big attacks for smashing tanks, good division of role there so maybe just make it...better. But the blood angels got the Sanguinor who can basically heroically intervene from reserves to defend the blood angels, maybe if a unit gets charged by Rippers, or hit by Spore Mines, or steps onto an objective or something the Mawloc/Trygon can deep strike into Engagement Range. And then just ditch the current mortal wound thing, mortal wounds aren't that interesting.
Toxicrene: He's poisonous rather than armor-piercing, so make him the Monster Killing Monster. Have his attacks always wound on a 2 vs non-vehicle targets, and maybe give him a rule where he can grab a single large target with his tendrils and get a bonus to charging.
Haruspex: I guess the idea is he's supposed to gobble up elite infantry, thus generating bonus attacks which he wouldn't get vs like a vehicle? This is fine, he just needs to be...actually decent at it.
Malanthrope: the defensive tanky shielding/support monster. They got the idea right with the added stratagem from PA, I'd just make that an ability he can have.
Tervigon: The gribbly spawning hive queen monster, makes total sense, just needs to actually work and GW needs to get over their PTSD from their idiotic summoning rule from 7th.
Hive Tyrant: Kind of runs into the "Tau Commander/Tank Commander" issue where GW I guess...didn't do the math on the actual expected damage that upping WS/ BS to 2+ from 4+ causes a thing to do? So rather than just having the same role as the other monsters and just doing it better, I'd have the hive Tyrant's thing be both command abilities and defeating enemy commanders in duels, since his most iconic loadout is 4 swords since he was trained in your jedi arts by count dooku. Lets say, I don't know, GW starts shipping a motor with the kits so his wrists spin freely and you can walk him towards the opposing army spinning the boneswords menacingly. No, that's stupid, maybe he picks a single combatant within 1" to Parry and reduce their Attacks stat, but otherwise he does less damage.

Necrons
*I'd like my characters/solos to have a chance at re-animation
*I'd like my multi-wound models to have the same odds to reanimate as my single wound Immortals. Roll x dice per model. For every 5+ one wound is restored. Move on to the next model. Sure, maybe you end up with several wound models in a unit? So what? Game can handle that.
*I'd really like some sort of defensive ability on my Monolith - an Invulnerable save? can only lose x wounds/phase? Quantum shielding?
*really sexy plastic models for the Nightbringer & Deceiver to go along with the Void Dragon.
*a stand alone Transcendent C'tan kit.
*a 3+ save on my warriors
*Better looking Flayed Ones models - I didn't like the old ones & I don't think the new plastic ones look much better....
Space Marines
*I'd like to see this Codex + Supplement gak come to and end. Give me Codex: SM to cover the generic & custom chapters and give me whole Codex books for SW, DA, UM, etc.
*I'd like the assault ramps back for the Land Raiders.
*I'd like the Landspeeder Storm to be a transport option for more than just Scouts.
*The return of my Lascannon/twin plasmagun Razorback turrets.
** SW specific - I'd like Leman Russ to get his ass out of the warp already. I want to field my RT era LR figure (and his wolves) as the intended model, in 40k, before I die of old age.
General
*Do away with the restriction of reserves etc needing to be 9+ inches away from enemies. Limit it to 3"+
*Change the transport options to model counts instead of listing specific passenger types. Maybe in some cases list things that can't embark.
*Do away with the Rule of Three outside of tourney play.
*Do away with the restrictions on Battle Forging armies via Imperial/Chaos/Eldar/Tyranids outside tourney play.
*Do away with the restriction of Fortifications needing to be 3"+ inches away from any sort of terrain other than Hills.
*Do away with having to have all reserves on board by turn 3.
*Do away with the limitations concerning how much stuff can be placed in reserve.
*Reintroduce fire arcs for vehicles.

Tervigon I like. It really needs to be a much more powerful mele threat. Give it 4 attacks (what kinda momma doesn't fight to keep her babbies alive?)
Haruspex - this thing needs to be a terror. What is with the WS 4+? I imagine this thing has lightning attack speed. Give it WS 3+ for starters - also give it a swallow whole ability. Instead of making its melee attacks. Roll one dice. If it is higher than the targets wound value adding 1 to the roll - the target is removed from play.
Malanthrope is fine
The Psychic monster though same thing...needs better WS and attacks.

While not to everyones taste i'm still a fan of the full 'witch hunters' experience - with inquisitors and zealots alongside the sisters.

+++ to that. The old elysian Drop Sentinel fits nicely in my opinion, especially as it brings two weapon options (Multimelta and Heavy Bolter) the Scions currently don't have.
And for heavy support: a Scionized Version of the Tarantula would be fitting I think. But both are my personal taste...

-gonna get nerfed but please GW do not destroy them outright as seems likely
-one or two characters
-one or two new units or units they used to have
Craftyworlds
-aspects in plastic, with something new for each and not just a copypasta of the last resins. Give a weapon option, a Ynarri option that is just not -helmet etc.
-new Warlock and Farseers in plastic - maybe a box set with weapon/helmet options? love the old ones but yeah they are super old....
-new Avatar in plastic, ideally similar to the Forgeworld offering as that was a great sculpt.
-phoenix lords in plastic and rules that make them kick butt and be worth taking

I Don't play Guard but adding more Shell options for the main options of tank weaponry, and differentiate them more. Drop Grinding advance but change the guns to represent that Tank cannons are more than just souped up infantry weapons.
Split the "Blast" of the battle cannon into Frag and Krak options. Make the Krak shell something like Strength 10, AP-3 and d6+2 damage, and a Frag shell with something akin to Blast Strength 6 AP-1 D1, 2d6 shots.
Give Vanquishers some insane single target damage, something like a single Strength 14 shot with AP-5 and D6+5 damage, balance it but making the ROF slower and all but useless against infantry.
Give Eradicators a debuff role, make their nuke shell either strip cover for the rest of the turn and or decrease the toughness of the unit it shoots at by 1, akin to the Rad rule of Skitarii Vanguard.
Return true blast to the game for some weapons, like the Demo Cannon, like it hits a unit, the firing picks a model within range of the gun and its hits all units nearby too, a sorta anti castle weapon.
Have Exterminator Autocannons gain a real roll, in the form of heavy autocannon barrages, thing should have a staggering anti MEQ output, think dual 40mm autocannons being pointed at infantry, for an IRL comparison. Up its ROF to 10 shots. Or grant them 8 shots like now but AP-2.
Give the punisher gatling Cannons AP-1 and raise base ROF to 30 to compensate them for the lost ROF. Its a large caliber Gatling cannon, should have serious punch.
Change the Executioner to have its profile more inline with the Dreadnought's Heavy plasma cannon in terms of damage, but keeping the enhanced ROF.
Price the following accordingly.

As a Thousand Sons player, I would like some more kits, since we currently only have 3 elite choices and 2 fast attack. I actually have money set aside for this, but GW just doesn't seem interested in getting it out of me lol

That's an interesting idea. Not sure it'd be good for matched play, but it'd be pretty sweet for Crusade or Narrative or something!

Strangely I got exactly what I wanted. A while back, as part of psychic awakening (or maybe the one after) I wanted GW to release a C’Tan model with an AOS influence. An actual good looking centrepiece model as the army was sorely lacking such an object for us that like to use good looking models. Mission accomplished.
My next change is for GW to release some scenic bits and effects. Bit like their box of skulls etc, but these one these ones themed around certain actions. Eg:
Box of fire effects; a few sprues of various shooting effects to add to the gun muzzle such as gunfire effects, flame effects, missile being launched etc.
Box of Magic Effects: flying skull smoke, lightning bolts, swirling mists etc. Bit like the vines which can be shaped around models
Boxes of the dead: a box with dead marines, another with dead guard etc - used for basing to stand your characters atop.
Personally I think they would sell fantastically, especially amongst those who like painting and want their models to really stand out.

Honestly, even for Matched Play it can be made to work with ease.
Can't be placed in opposing player's deployment zone but otherwise follows the standard rules for placing Objective Markers.

As a general rule, regardless of faction, I'd like to see Finecast units moved either back to metal, or into plastic. While an interesting experiment, I think it is more than fair to say that Failcast was known as such for a reason.
Also as a general rule, dialing back NMNR so that simple conversions within a range are allowed/encouraged.
Any special characters which had a model released, but which are not currently featured in Legends, to be added into Legends. Chaplain Xavier, Lord Solar Macharius, Colonel Chenkov, etc.
More specifically, what would I want for the IG?
- Lasguns as an option for Sergeants/Officers (and the equivalent for Storm Troopers)
- Infantry range revamp - it looks like there might be something coming for Catachans, given the recent LE figures, but ideally 2-3 Regiments as a first wave (Cadia, Catachan, Steel Legion?), with similar scaling to AdMech or GSC, with a second wave for other Regiments a year or two later.
- The Deathstrike to actually be scary - it's meant to be an ICBM, but it both looks and feels underwhelming. To be fair, I'm not entirely sure why it was brought into the Codex as an option...
- For GW to figure out what it wants the Leman Russ (and variants) to be, and then spec/equip it appropriately.

Honestly, I just like weird concepts for gameplay.
I've always felt it wacky that Techpriests higher than Enginseers are on the field. Having stuff like that would, IMO, feel unique and interesting. Have it be an objective but only if a Dominus or Cawl claim/interact with it. Otherwise it's just your standard buff-y scenery.

Primaris terminators, not a re-invention of them, just make terminators in scale with primaris marines, maybe with a storm bolt rifle if anything has to change. Then a proper primaris land raider, an assault battering ram of a transport vehicle, ideally not grav either.
For Guard, well, the wishlist is long, but plastic multipart regiment box sets is the big one and relevant regimental doctrines for them all.

My wants are relatively simple...
I want a Skitarii character with options; allow him (or her) to use the alpha options on the Skitarii sprue.
I'd like something similar for Dark Eldar, including an option for a reaver jet bike. Maybe allow for a Hellion HQ.
Speaking of Dark Eldar, we need a plastic Grotesques box along the lines of the Ogryn box.
And while I'm wishlisting, a redone Court of the Archon would be nice.
