Speaking of the 70s, The Persuaders (starring Roger Moore and Tony Curtis) deserves an honourable mention despite not quite making it into my top 3.

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.

like I've said before I suspect many of the props from Robin ended up recycled on Marion, which as you say was a excellent show, and lead to getting horrible historys on the telly box

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

The first season finale is legendary!

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

On moon miranda.

For me?

Aqua Teen Hunger Force. 'cause nothing matters.

Attack on Titan. Major caveat here, huge opportunity for this to turn south since it hasn't ended yet, and could yet pull a Lost/Battlestar/Mass Effect/GoT and bork its final moments, but it's been fantastic so far.

Babylon 5, for its time it was a narrative marvel.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

They were masters of the cheap prop on the hooded man. My favourite was the gold necklace made from rectangular biscuits and gold spray.

Just to satiate my curiosity, what event(s) in BSG constitute the Bork? I could think of a couple that might turn someone off, although none ruined the show for me personally.

For me, there's a point in the show where whatever plan they had kinda went out the window, and the showrunners admit to it. They start doing things for shock value without any idea of how they're going to wrap up (like killing Starbuck), and then they have a writers strike in there too. Eventually the show moves away from post-apocalyptia in space, the killer robots and starships and space battles drop away, and it gets increasingly lost in incomprehensible metaphysical stuff to untie their gordian knot.

The final episode was the perfect encapsulation of the whole series.

Spoiler:
The first hour is space ships, nukes, killer robots, and it's awesome. After that it's "we magically found actual Earth, not the Earth we originally were looking for, that one's a radioactive wasteland. This Earth has aliens that look just like us and that we can breed with, lets totally throw our starships and all advanced technology and anything archaeologists could find when they develop into Modern Humanity, and throw it into the sun so we can go live as primitive hunter-gatherers without agriculture or medicine and be sure not to bring our language or culture to these aliens, oh, and Starbuck was an actual angel and really did die all that time ago!"

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

Rebooted for modern times just didn’t/won’t work.
It relies on 70s values and technology (lack of compared to everyone now carrying a tv studio in their pockets) to work. But brother how well the original worked.

Maid Marian and her Merry Men was vastly superior

Damnit… ninja’d

I would also add Mork and Mindy to the mix.

I'd put down:

Top Gear (the run with James, Jeremy, and Richard. . . any other personnel combo is not great)

The IT Crowd. They attempted to treat it like "The Office" (as in, create a US version), but that goes to show how good the show is on its own, the US version didnt go beyond a pilot

And 3rd I'll throw Mad Men in (honestly, I'm just trying to list a top three that haven't been mentioned ITT, that I have seen and enjoyed) I especially appreciated the attention to details in the show, making sure that as much as humanly possible, everything looked exactly as it did in the time being portrayed

I'm not sure I have a list of just three best ever shows. On my list, which would need to be much larger than just three picks, would be.

ROME.

The Young pope followed by the New Pope.

And. Either Beavis and Butthead or Legion.

B&B are always good for a dumb laugh.
Legion was just amazing and very well done.

Honest there are more shows I love than I can put into any list with out actually spending a lot of time on it. Far more time that I feel it is worth so why bother!
Clearly there is a place on my list for MASH, Farscapre, Stargate SG1, Band of Brothers, Always sunny and more.

Anime list is a little easier, almost.
FLCL.
Goblin slayer, including the movie they had last year.
And I'm again not sure what my third choice would be.

The rewards of tolerance are treachery and betrayal.

Remember kids, Games Workshop needs you more than you need them.

Rome was great. I liked the first season better than the 2nd, but that's mainly due to the grown up version of Octavian, who I don't think did such a great job, but everyone's a critic.

I like watching I Claudius right after watching Rome, it fits in just right with the timeline assuming a gap from Augustus youth to his middle age.
