Jup, forgot that they named the thing completly diffrent.

I'd like to see some HH-specific legion units make the jump to 40k. Not all of them work, and obviously it wouldn't just be for chaos, but it'd help fill a lot of gaps in the army. Stuff like Terror Squads would be nice, at least.

It’s funny that when you think you have an original idea that you check out the photo of the model you mentioned and yep, someone’s already done it (at least close)

There’s also the predecessor Cannon of Khorne from Epic Space Marine.



Kind of like the Skull Cannon, but on a far larger scale.

A chaotic Xenos option. stuff like a clan of Eldar that have evaded She Who Thrists by pledging to Nurgle, or Tau who have lost thier Ethereal and now worship "the Greater Blood", or a Genestealer cult that's been infiltrated by Tzeentch and corrupted away form the Hive Mind, or some other, new chaos worshipping xenos. As it stands, Chaos seems to a purely Human phenomenon, dispite it being supposedly a "universal" thing.

An unbound chaos entity that has managed to maintain enough energy to remain on the physical plane, but has been forced to bind itself to random elements around itself to maintain itself. As a result its fused with whatever was closer when it died. This could be parts of machines, a pile of bodies from the battlefield, the very earth and ground itself or anything else.

Vaguely serpentine in nature/form as a core.
This is very much your melted fused body so think something like Akira at the very end as a kind of idea

Unit size: 1-4

Shape: each creature is a single serpentine monstrosity rising up from the base. This might be rising right up and erupting from the ground itself; or could be a coiled or otherwise formless mess of surface "body" writhing on the ground.
Eg one formed of a pile of corpses might be a shapeless mass with random arms and legs crawling it across the ground whilst its main body rises up to strike. A machine version could be a lumbering snake with legs, wheels, tracks and all; an earthen "elemental" might be a simple spire of serpent with the ground flowing over it (like a hand moving under a bedsheet).

Size: Medium so something like a fiend or hound of nurgle in overall base size, but potentially rising higher/taller.



Hydra Form; separate model the result of multiple such entities coming together and fusing into one. Like a boiling writhing sea mix of machine, organics and earth flowing over the ground with multiple serpentine and spike like "heads" rising up from the core mass to strike at anything around. Because this one is many chaos entities in one the removal of one head might well simply cause it to spawn a fresh one as one demon "dies" and another is able to rise from the writhing warring mass and secure a "part" for itself.
