Digging around in the Undead Section of the Closet of Shame, I came across this undead chariot and the undead champions which were released along with it. Assuming I can locate the horses, I'll be counting the chariot as one model. Otherwise, it goes back in the box.

Thought I'd seen some of these parts in my bits box recently and was hoping for a chariot challenge, but sadly I can't find the horses either and I've run out of obvious places to look
Still, I think you've inspired me to renew some other old undead, I did find a screaming skull catapult and a carrion, so I might get those painted instead

I actually have two incomplete sets-- I have one Screaming Skull in my Gallery--but this one being unpainted will save me the hassle of stripping it. I do love me some Oldhammer skeletons...

Now showing various models from the previously adandoned projects!

What could be more symbolic of renewal than springtime babies? Here we see a mother tyranid with her two little nidlings, or however that works.

Oh, wow, you have one of the original tyranids? I am so jealous!

Don’t know if I’ve ever seen the big one before, looks straight from the page in RT though. I might have a blister of the little ones in a box somewhere. So different from where they went with the line

I have these old deffkoptas that need some love. I'll have a complete combat patrol once they're done too.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

This bunch of victims for my Deffdread enough? They will be leaning against a slope and covered in debris and dirt so they don't need legs.
Turns out I had no dwarf bodies left, only arms, heads and accesoiries. So used a few trooper bodies and one high elf armor because it looked better for the leader dwarf who needs some decorations.

Will add burns and perhaps some blood if people are ok with seeing gored dwarfs here.. let me know.

So I was originally going to do the Leviathan terminators for this but I started last night with such rapid pace it'll be a little too easy. So instead I'm thinking up something a little different. Pics to come!

What’s on your workbench?
What are your active projects?
What games/armies do you play?
Is there anything you’d like to start?
Is there anything you want to revisit?

@Gulgog Tuftoof: I'm enjoying your ork P&M blog. For this theme maybe you can make an ork mad dok since they tend to recycle ork body parts?

I'm thinking I will try joining the monthly painting challenge for the first time. With the theme of: “Renewal”. Reborn, returned, recycled. A fresh start. I'm thinking I could go back and paint up a sculpt I made of the daemon prince Mamon from Siege of Vraks. Daemon princes are chaos worshipers reborn as daemons. Also I personally would both be getting a fresh start and returning to the sculpt since it is one of the first miniatures I ever sculpted to use in 40k (around 2015), I still like how it looks, but I never painted it or any other Nurgle stuff I was making back then.

That is all sorts of rad.

In true Immortal Hulk fashion, here's a dismembered green goliath. Assembly started, then it will be time to start fiddling.

I'm adding another dreadnought proof to my entry, and adding a WIP for it.

The above edge work was done with acrylic pens, which are interesting to work with.
I recommend edge-highlighting *before* sticking your model together. The lascannon on the right is the 'neatest' I could do with the pens.
The launcher on the left is equivalent to the 'neatest' I could do using a pen on a finished model, where I can't access parts fully.
It makes a major difference, but I think the style on the left 'works' for a battle ready model.

(And I will be using a ruler for any future bases like this of course )

I'm furious. I'm 3 days into a project and only just noticed this. I don't have proof of the project other then the jumbled pile of sprues I've been using and my room mates word to claim he has witnessed my progress. I'm trying to finish a cool conversion before his kids visit again.

Post where you are now. As long as you are not posting Golden Demon level stuff 2 days into the month, I’m generally willing to trust that people are telling the truth that they’ve done the work in the correct timeframe.

If I want to be real pedantic and strictly follow the rules as written, failure to post a proof picture does not stop you from participating, only from inclusion in the vote thread. But it’s a fun competition to build community and help each-other. It’s not like money or fame is on the line here. Welcome to the fun.

A third of the month is gone and I have successfully done nothing at all. That's a good start.

I may have to rethink my entry. Not sure yet, but my complete lack of progress certainly doesn't inspire confidence that I made the right choice of miniature.

Heh. True. Different people paint at different rates. And some people do crazy work in no time at all, month after month. I suspect trafficking with fell powers. No other explanation really.

I just put the second color on my dread yesterday. So right with you on being behind schedule. And I’ll be AFK next week, so really need to catch up.

Hey, don't do that! Procrastination is supposed to be a labor of love. Assisted procrastination is basically akin to cheating!
