Thanks for the encouraging words, guys. Now I just have to not screw up toning everything down with washes.

Morg n Thorg, early 90s

This is from when I was... 12 maybe? Now stripped and repainted.

I think that qualifies as Slow & Steady plus obviously Ogres are not the quickest or brightest

I tried to go for a very traditional garish gw scheme

Hurrah for a new light box!

My dslr is hiding somewhere so I think these pics will do.

The terminators are finished. I'm a little disappointed that the leviathan box is all push fit. Makes customization a little harder, but it was a chance to use all those decals I have laying around. I tried being a little more creative with my photography by adding a fancy background. I found this one inside a white dwarf magazine.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

In keeping with the theme I have very slowly got round to starting a model and I think a Blood Bowl troll is definitely slow and steady:

I'm literally in the process of building this! Like how you've reversed the arm pose.

So white or blue background?

Interesting how the green fades.

I ended up with two of the new trolls and I really didn’t want them to look identical. Found this idea somewhere online and it’s a fairly trivial conversion; glue the arm on in the other direction and then green stuff to fill the gaps in the armpit and shoulder. Really pleased with how it came out.

I think the blue is a more striking picture, stands out more. But you can see the difference in how the colors differ. Which is more true to life?

I'd also go with the blue background. It looks livelier and I can make out the details better. I suspect against the white background the camera darkens the picture too much to compensate, so the thing you actually want to see loses definition.

Going slowly here, but progress!

I recognize it's the whole unit, but the 'front four' in the command group are part of slow and steady. I figured its easier to paint the whole unit than just a few since I already have the paints out.

It’s been about 8 years since I did one of these and nearly 10 years since I had my orange Tyranid army. I want to do a modern take on it.

Rapidly running out of month. Keep up the steady pace everyone! And if you need an extension, let me know.

Got the weekend to wrap things up and Monday to take pics. Let’s all get across the finish line.

Jeff is finished! He's one of the fanciest models I've painted to date, which is a funny thing to say about someone whose outfit is 99% black. I don't think I painted a model's shadow on its base before.

All of the human-sized mutants are finished:

I just need to choose the best ones and take proper photos.

Now showing various models from the previously abandoned projects!

Painting total as of 25 May 2025: 67plus a Deva King statue

Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants

Some very late, somewhat sloppy progress has been made. I hope to prime him later in the day and get the painting done tomorrow/on Monday. The base is also still in a rudimentary state and needs to be addressed.
