Runewars was the game with PVC minis that looked like video game sprites, right? I got a bunch of those minis back when Miniature Market Black Friday meant something. I love the rock guys and the elf prince guy. The humans reminded me a bit of the Rackam pre pained Age of Ragnarok minis, but not as nice.
Sedition Wars was the first KS I pledged for. I wasn’t disappointed for the most part, at least not so much that I didn’t buy two more sets at rock bottom prices for the minis. Never played the game, but one flip through the rule book and I knew I wasn’t missing out.

Vor might have lasted longer as an inside joke in the Maelstrom’s Edge thread than it lasted as an actual game.

I also don't understand why Mantic won't just re-release the street map neoprene maps they made for with with the rest of the city Terrain Crate stuff. I'd love to buy 3 more of them to have a 4x4 setup.
Its a great game, I love it. But I guess it was 'complete' and the kickstarter got most of the market, so there wasn't many sales after the event.

I had a few games of it; the mechanics of combat worked pretty well all in a single roll, the way characters got infected and turned were good, and then the way the infection upgraded some of the (can't remember their proper name, strain?) alien creatures was pretty good. Trouble I had was that it was heavily weighted in favour of one side, and then the pendulum swung too far the other way on the next rules release, then they just seemed to give up entirely.
And yes as others have said some of the model casts weren't great. I had a few banana guns and the jaw on the grendel (I think it was called) I pretty much had to re-sculpt. On the whole I liked it though, and it brought me back into the hobby proper after a decade in which Felix and Gotrek novels and the occasional game of blood bowl were about the extent of it.

That's a pretty fair description of the Daqan. Fairly simple sculpts, but they were actually sculpted to cast properly in PVC (unlike early Bones), so they were nice and crisp casts with minimal mold lines and very easy to paint.

Definitely not sculpts for those who like GW-levels of detail and filigree, but for getting figures painted quick that look good from tabletop distance they were pretty nice.
I was already in the market for an affordable "Good Guy" army to face off against my mostly-vintage Chaos army and these came around at the right time. Free in the Adepticon swag bag, then I traded undead for more humans with my friend and then bought a third starter cheap from an Adepticon attendee and "voila!" Most of an army for very little $ and I added a few additional characters and units from my FLGS.
For those who might be interested, there's still some very affordable Runewars stuff on Amazon.

Holy smokes, Amazon’s got minis at a good price to once!
@JamesY, it sounds like the rules played pretty well for you. They looked too complicated for my gaming group at the time. To be fair, my interest in Sedition Wars was 95% minis, 4%lore and 1% rules, so I didn’t give it much of a chance.

I'll support AT-43 on this list and add Endless Fantasy Tactics. Great tabletop version of games like Ogre Tactics and Final Fantasy Tactics.
