Tiny fighting men are damn great but yes education is most important.

With the speed your turning out finished models, your obviously not someone who wastes time easily unlike myself, so you should be fine!

wow the first dred looks truely amazing vvery nice job I really like all the shading and highlights also the sons of orar symbol is very nicely done.

I think I might pick up one of the Venerable dreads, just to paint.
It'll never see a battlefield, sadly :(

I always loved the sons of orar- Not wanting to paint an army of them myself, now I can look at YOURS! they are BEAUTIFUL. You did the weathering in a good way- which I think can be rare.

What are you going to do with the spare heads from the dreadnaught?
Are you going to use them for marines?

What colour you do the joints on your marines?

@ Munch Munch! : To paint the gold I start with a 1:1:1 mix of shining gold : scorched brown : chaos black. Then a highlight of pure shining gold and finishing off with a highlight of 2:1 mix of shining gold to mithryl silver. The when everything is finished I give the whole model with a wash of devlan mud.

@ WillFrost : I’ll be using the dread heads on some marines and terminators in the future.

@ Miss Dee : I paint the joints in the armour with boltgun metal then wash them with devlan mud.

@ Frogboy : no SLR I’m afraid. Just my 5MP phone camera (nokia 6700) and the macro setting on my digital camera (I only use that for really close up shots)

OH and when i saw you got the ven dreads i said to my friend
